Nyx - Mare - In Heat - Ghost's Herd - Grazing

Nyx nodded, trotting after Ghost. She felt the strong wind whip against her pelt, and flurries of snow filled her eyes and made seeing impossible. Instead, she followed the scent of Ghost and edged through the narrow gap. When she reached the valley, she stopped. The snow was only about an inch or so deep, and she could tell that grass shoots were hiding underneath. She spotted a mare and a foal, the sight of them confirmed what she already knew - that Ghost was a very good stallion indeed.

Perhaps the best, as she'd only seen lovesick fools pretending they were leaders. She grinned and relaxed, although the snowflakes still fluttered in the silent air. She watched Ghost, wondering what he was going to do next. Nyx didn't really care, so she bent her head and pawed at the ground to reveal small green shoots. The seal brown mare began to gaze, her hindquarters facing the cremello stallion.

I smiled and kindly nudged Night's side in a playful attempt to become part of this brother sister team. Walking along side him then asking towards him instead of his sister for once, "So why are you so eager to go back to your old home, what waits or you there?" I was curious to why they wanted to go back to their old him so badly, though I might not be the one to talk as I was living in my old herds home.

Ghost watched, making sure the new mare was comfortable and content to make herself at home. She did exactly that, and with a flick of his tail, Ghost walked towards the mare and foal huddled in the snow. The snow had now melted around them, revealing the grass. He shook his coat lightly, ridding himself of the remnants of the blizzard that was brewing outside the valley.
"How's she doing?" he asked the other mare, looking over his shoulder towards Nyx. "We have a newcomer. And I'd like to offer you some security of a herd."
He could still smell Nyx's heat scent, and it was boiling his blood. But he would get herd matters sorted first.

Lucky nodded again, hoping that Jewel was really happy and safe with him. He stopped a few meters away from the other mare, studying her. She was beautiful; her coat color, especially that star on her forehead. And her eyes! He really hoped the mare would like him. {WB}

Cloud He smiled "well it is my job to protect you, cold is a fierce enemy at times, but its always nicer to have someone near" he said and kept his head wrapped gently over her neck " Im glad winter is coming to a close, for once i actually had a nice winter though, How did you fair during this years blizzard?" he asked her.

Sniffing the cold, frosty air, I watched a crystal blue dew drop drip from the edge of a blade of grass, the chill slightly uncomfortable, but certainly refreshing. I closed my light brown eyes for a moment, savoring the fresh, sweet freedom all around me. I loved the whole wintry wonderland, even though sometimes my life could get a bit lonely; I did not have any other foals to play with, to laugh with, to share with. I didn't let that bother me much, though. After all, there was nothing I could do to change that.
