Board suggestion: Free art

I recently joined a site called subeta and found that they have an 'Art Freebies' forum. I absolutely love the idea of it and I feel like CS could use a similar board. Basically, users can either post a board offering free artor users can post requesting free art and anyone with spare time can give them free sketches **. There are also games that can be posted such as 'Doodle a pokemon for the user above you' where a user requests a pokemon to be drawn, so you draw their pokemon and also request one. The person below you does the same.

I often find myself with ten minutes of free time and wanting to do free art, but I don't want to have to make a whole board for it since I'll get bored of it soon or not have time. So having a board like this where I can quickly doodle things for anyone who needs art would be amazing <3

It would also help keep the art sales board restricted to..well, art sales. At the moment free art boards are scattered around the art sales board, show your art board, and others. It'd just be nice to have them all condensed to one area.

** Rainbow Dash made a good point that boards seeking art would probably clog up the forum, so I think it might be best to stick to drawing games and people offering art.

I think that'd be a good idea! I, too, sometimes have some free time to draw, but have no idea what character to draw, and going through the art shop forum takes a long time to get to posts wanting art. By the time I get to the post, I'm usually demotivated by then.

Glad to hear I'm not alone in wanting a board like this! ^^ I know exactly what you mean. And half the time when I want to draw, I only want to/only have time for a quick doodle.

I guess I just feel like there's no place free art really fits and won't get lost/clutter up that board D:

Most Chickensmoothie users will pass over that board because of the name, if they're looking for free art.

I support this. A couple of years ago, I tried making a free art shop twice and I never got any orders because my thread would get buried by paid art shops so quickly.
I also love the idea of 'doodle something for the person above you' games, I would definitely participate in some of those xD

Luna- Glad you hear you support it ^^ I know what you mean- you really either get buried in requests or completely ignored if you make a board. Dx Never just enough requests for what you have time for.

I've seen "free art" shops in Share your Art. I wouldn't mind a separate board, though. It would be easier to find the free shops. ^^;
