Crap. I was nearly finished with my witch's form for the harry potter role-play when I started fiddling around with my laptop-mouse thingy [whatever they're called :/] and accidentally closed out. D;

This sucks Hippogriff. I was onto my wizardy part thing. Like, dude, that's past my personality, please. I was not looking forward to losing everything. I have to start back at my looks again.

Just noticed this. Story of my life. xD Its awful. My advice; save something as a draft every section or two.

Anyways. Thread is too quiet. I'm bored.

Has anyone tried to make particularly out-of-the-norm characters? I was looking through the RP boards again, and lo and behold, just about all I saw was:
-angst-ridden girl who's heart 'will only be open to her true love'
-angst-ridden boy who's heart 'will only be open to his true love'
-some arrogant boy who's apparently incredibly handsome and will be nice to those he loves
-the typical 'something supernatural killed my parents I'm gonna go blindly try to hunt them and only listen to reason when someone I love tells me!'

You can probably see some patterns here. -3- About 50% of the characters in a fantasy RP has odd abilities and were shunned for them. Considerably more had unusual eye colors. Saw a few half-vampires. Geeze.
I saw three Harry Potter RPs. One was one-liners and the most cliche thing I've ever seen. One was a few lines apeice and almost half-decent, but filled with cliches. The last was an asian to the knee's, which thankfully had a wide array of different characters, probably the result of a original plot at last. /praise

So. Anyways. I made about eight mental character designed to be out-of-the-norm. It started with my Harry Potter character, a transgender homosexual who's cripplingly shy and can't control her magic to save her self, usually just causing flowers to appear out of nowhere at a critical time. Not my best, but eh, I tried. -shrugs-
