Erza felt as though she couldn't breath, she fell back landing on her but, she stared in shock, she let herself fall back completely before allowing herself to release the scream that had been building in her throat, tears ran from her eyes, down her cheeks, she ignored the pain in her arm as she grew her arms to either side thudding heavily on the ground, she bit her lip trying to suck back the tears, this was one of the few times she had ever cried, "A-Akeno" she stammered still laying there "it's my fault, i can't believe i didn't sense it, i can't believe i didn't make sure he left before i did, i-i... i failed" she said her voice becoming quiet to a whisper, just thinking that made it feel as though she had a sword through her heart "i failed" she repeated

Kini smirked sensing the change in energy, she held her claymore tight as Iro had figure out how to use the weapon to contact the outside world without annoying Kini "so the King is dead? About time that old man fell from his throne!" Iro said letting out a insane laugh "I can't wait, who will be next? that golden haired prince, oh i want such lovely coloured hair, but no i got stuck with dull blondie here" Iro hissed and Kini swing the flat side into a tree, leaving a dent in the tree but also shutting Iro up

Shiko laughed at the two. A scroll appeared in his hand and a feather pen in the other. He checked off a name. "One down. Many more to go."

Kotaru raised his head at the scream. He was inside his cave. "He's dead. What a stupid man." He muttered.

Akeno felt tears streaming down his face. First mom, then his brother, and now his dad. He stared now with blank eyes. He looked slowly at his clothes. Blood. His fathers blood was on him. His father was crushed, scratched up, and dead. He stood there and touched the blood and raised it to his face. Akeno started to shake nonstop. "D-d...dad?"

Knowing full well that Shiko could hear her Valkea laughed This is why my contracts always make friends with the Contractors of Death She practically purred The have a slightly unstable obsession with seeing things in ruins and ashes, even if it isn't by our hands. Ignoring her Goddess and her rantings Zenith looked at Shiko ''So do you plan to sit here all day and send Shiki to kill people? 'Cause if you are,I'm going to go get myself an apple and comeback in a little.'' She said.

Azumi had found a tree for the night and now had over slept. She was awoken by the scream that rang through the air " what the heck?!" she said bolting up right, her ears twitched back and forth in alarm, " It sounds like it came from the palace" she muttered to herself rubbing sleep out of her eyes and getting to her feet. She jumped down from the tree and paused to listen for a moment, there was a murmur in the distance about the king being dead. She felt kind of bad for the prince, how he would cope. She then realized there were voices up ahead, *probably what murmured the king was dead* she thought moving closer to find out who had spoken.

Erza sniffed and forced herself to her feet and stepped toward him putting a hand on each shoulder still ignoring her bad arm "Akeno listen there is nothing we can do, it is to late now, even the most powerful mages could not change the past" she said much more calmly "i need you to focus now, no doubt your on their list, not only did i need to keep you safe before, but now you are top priority, got it?!" she said firmly her though it was clear in her eyes she wanted to keep screaming "but you know what we need to do right now? we need to get you cleaned up" she turned and whistled two guards, both female walked up and had been personally trained by her, it took one look at the situation and the two nodded before walking off "they will take care of the rest, now, lets clean you up" she said softly putting her hand around his wrist

Still on his chair Shiko said. "Oh I won't send him that often. Today was just my lazy day." He snapped his fingers and a apple was given to him by a spirit." Here's your apple." He checked on the list. "Hmm, that child I possessed is suppose to be dead, check. Anyone else from here? Ugh, I'll see later." He said to himself.

Akeno was still shaking. He nodded his head slowly and walk sluggishly to the castle, ears and tail down. He had a dead look on his face. He got inside the castle and slumped against the wall. Akeno struggled to get up but failed. He was going into shock and he curled up into a ball, back against the wall. He then buried his head into his legs.

Erza almost instantly sat next to him putting her arms tightly around him "Akeno i know it's sad, but you need to understand, you can't let it get to you or you'll be next" she said letting the tears run from her eyes again "Akeno you really need to hold it together, you hear me hold it together!" she cried squeezing him gently "Akeno, i understand that your in shock but look at me, even I'm crying, but you need to hold it together"

''Thanks'' Zenith said happily taking the apple. ''Poor kid'' She said, shrugging a bit as she took a bite from the apple. She didn't want to even ask about his list,since she had a bad feeling that she was probably on it, according to Valkea's sudden unease.

Azumi quietly crept closer to the two figures, who were now a couple of meters away, she stayed close to the ground hidden by a shrub, her ears and tail lay completely still. She watched in surprise as one, a boy by the looks of it, received an apple from a spirit and gave it to the girl next to him. *a contractor?* she thought intently watching.
