Santa's Elves (Open and Accepting!)

Haynya played with her hands nervously. "How about Skip. She's the new deer. She's almost done with her training. If we use Jumper the sleigh might crash."

"aww." said Nonie, a frown appering on her face. "Oh well." she said, brightening up. "I'll draw Vixen a picture for her baby!" She skipped away, humming "Santa Clause Is Coming to Town."
Fatima came in to the barn. "I heard Vixen is going to have a baby." she said to Haynya and Sayde.

"Good Point" Hatima said, and quickly told Nonie "Tell Santa we're using Skip instead of Jumper, Now go!"

"Okay" said Nonie brightly. She ran to Santa's study and pounded on the door. There wasn't an answer.

Haynya sighed in relief. She loved all of the reindeer and knew them each personally. Jumper was...jumpy. She got spooked easily and the one time they hooked her up to fly the slay an icicle fell in from of her and she ran, breaking the reins. She was replaced with Vixen at the last moment and the reins were repaired.

Sayde walked to Skip's stall and grabbed her lead rope. She led her out and out of the barn. She crawled on top of her broad back. She kicked her sides gently and she started cantering, then worked up and then soared into the wind. She kicked his legs, clawing the air. She spun and plummeted back to earth

Nonie ran towards Sayde and Haynya. "Santa's not there!" she shreiked.

Haynya thought for a moment. "Did you check to see if he and Mrs. Claus were in the library?"

Nonie thought for a second. "Umm.....yeah, I think. I checked all over his castle."
Fatima inttirupted. "All over the castle?" she asked in a suspitious tone.
"Well....sort of."

Haynya put her hands on her hips. The reindeer pulling the sleigh were an important matter. "What do you mean sort of? Christmas is nine days away! We should take it seriously!"
