Dusk had heralded her arrival, and the trees were hung with shadows in his wake. The sun had a shroud across it's garish face, and the day was almost done. It was almost her time. Septine watched as the sun died, it's final breath leaving in a small flare of orange light on the hoizon. The world was hers.

The Deer of Night came walking forth,
Her regal head held high.
The sun was dead, her time was now
To her all Night must bow.

Where she touched the Darkness clung,
and spread in grasping swirls.
With her guidence, Night would swallow
all Light had held before.

In her reign the Darkness thrived,
and Night creatures praised her name,
"You bring Night to us, we live for you,
you are our Queen, Septine"

And all too soon, Dusk to Night
and told her of the Light;
Her time was up,
her coat was dull,
Another came to reign.

Another time had come and gone, but Septine, Ruler of the Night, Queen of the Nocturnals did not begrudge the Light it's time. She understood the balance and fine line of the world along whose edge she walked. As Dawn spun the glittering stars into the smallest pinpricks of light, Septine watched. Watch it melt away, there's nothing you can say, to stop the season's spin. The Night soon comes, the Day is done, and all begins again.

Heeey peoples! I'm still quite sick, so I'm going to make this a quicker one, alright?

And hey, I offer my own congrats to Paper for her 100 pages! Wow, that's a looot of pages, and really a testament to how much time and dedication she's put to these deer <3 and you guys, too <3 I've never regretted auditioning to be an artist for this thread :3
