Avalbane stopped and instantly, Kenski and Sicarius relaxed, letting out held in breaths. Avalbane stared at Altair and Ezio and she hadn't even noticed it, but her blade was out to, but in defense. She looked away, eyes glittering. "I forgot one of the rules." She muttered. Kenski nodded. "Have you ever heard a demon sing, Altair? Have you ever heard it's voice? When it's sad, happy, or angry? Some say it can be the strongest thing. That it can destroy one's soul with a few notes. But if put together in a song and let loose, it can cause even the calmest of people to loose their minds." She flinched at that. "Before this demon took me, I used to love to sing. Sicarius used to tease me about it. But when this demon took us, all three of us, i was told that I could never sing again." She closed her eyes. "But one day, I forgot it and me and Sicarius were playing with some of our friends at camp. We were playing a singing contest. Sicairus was the judge. Before he could stop me, I had opened my mouth and began to sing." Tears leaked down her face. "They died. Standing in front of us. Blood welled in their throats and their body became limp, but the look on their faces was the worst. They looked awed and entirely entranced. They died, right in front of us. Sicairus stopped me just in time before I killed anything else, but they had died." Kenski gazed at her, a slight flicker of fear going in his eyes, then disappearing. He turned ot Altair and Ezio. "Imagine, that if you open your mouth, each time a person dies. Now, Imagine Avalbane. If she utters even a single note of a tune, the death seal is already shut tight on the person near her. If she sang loud enough, she could kill an entire village of people." Kenski whispered. "Like I said before, Avalbane is a rare, emotional assassin." He breathed.

Alura smiled. "Thank you." She said. She felt strangly warm when she was called dear one. It reminded her of her longing for her parents. Her face was saddened, and even more when she heard about Lero's partner. "Well, I'm not exactly blind...That poor person. Only a few years?"

Lero felt a fat blue tear roll down his cheek. "Yes. I feel so guilty for keeping it from her, but I'm afraid that she will loose control of herself." He whispered. He smiled at her and gently breathed warm air on her.

Ezio winced inwardly but kept his gaze on Avalbane. He couldn't empathize with her, he had no hobbies that weren't valuable to being an assassin. He looked into her eyes and found that even though this demon was supposedly controlling her emotions, they still managaed to leak through.

"I've heard sounds that would send your demons fleeing to the darkest corners of hell to escape them. Their croaking voices can't send my thoughts adrift." He seethed, but managed to flick both wrist blades back into their sheaths. One sound could outdo any demon's song. That scream; Maria's scream. The scream of your only true love dying was one thing, but to feel it vibrate through her as you retract the killing blade was so dark, so twisted that he never told the whole truth to anyone. Rafiq only knew of it because he saw it with his own eyes, assigned the mission and terminated the one thing that was preventing his prized prodgiy from becoming a leader. The sound never left him, its ring still echoed in his ears even now, much later. He protected his brothers from ever hearing anything of the pain he felt and kept their thoughts far from the likes of women. He realized with a jolt that he was nearly failing with Ezio and saw him wavering between lover and ally as he caught his brother's gaze.

Avalbane sighed and she let the demon flow through her emotions. Instantly, she felt calm and she stared at Altair. "Please, I apologize for that. But not all demon's voices are...... bad." The last voice was not her own, but her demon's. The voice was more beautiful than anything. Kenski started, but she smiled at him, reassuring him everything was under control. She gazed at Ezio and she felt her heart flutter for a second. "I'm sorry....." She said quietly to him, unable to tell him ow guilty she felt for making him experience that. Sicarius snorted and she shot him a glare. If looks could kill, her's could destroy the world. Sicarius flinched and drew away.

Altair flinched at the noise. Sickingingly beautiful. He twitched his fingers. "Yes, actually they are." He snapped coldly. He couldn't take this much longer, he'd already been pushed past the edge earlier yesterday.

Ezio sensed Altair's unwillingnes to continue and broke his gaze from Avalbane as she turned hers to Sicarius. He smiled lightly at her in reply but scolded himself for not listening to his instincts.
"Let's keep moving." He offered, casting Altair a calming glance.

Instead of flinching away, which would of been a better response fit for Avalbane, she turned on Altair and snarled. "it's not my fault my life was ruined from birth! It's not my fault I have this stupid-" She stopped in her tracks and recoiled, pain flashing in her eyes. "Sicarius!" Kenski snapped. Sicarius rushed to Avalbane and pulled her out of view. Kenski growled and turned back to the two. "Let us move on. There's no point here." He muttered quietly, swishing his cloak and starting towards the direction Avalbane had been heading. meanwhile, hidden from view, Sicarius helped Avalbane as the demon within her battered her mind. "Sorry!" She gasped, a line of blood dribbling down her chin. Sicarius shook his head and finally, the beatings stopped. Avalbane slumped in his arms, weak. "She done?" he muttered. Avalbane nodded and ignored the line of blood dribbling down her chin. "Yeah. She's done. Sorry." She whispered, her voice raspy slightly.

Alura smiled slightly, ears twitching. Elanor had been quiet. "Majestic dragon, I have a favor too ask of you." She said quietly.
Elanor cocked her head, thinking of Ragne. She watched the young elf talk to the dragon.

Jun had climbed onto the wrecked ship's plank. She jumped off, seeing why the scroll had said to go off the plank. She landed in Riku's arms. "Not only did the muy gabano Riku save you, I also found a way into the ships hold." He said. He started running to a hole in the bottom of the ship. Jun grabbed a branch, took out two flint rocks, and lit the branch. Making a torch. She walked through the hole and saw mountains of gold. "Bigger bounty then I'll ever make...C'mon." She said. Digging through a pile, she uncovered a skelliton. "Lovely." Riku was right behind her. "Wonder what happened to him." He whispered. "I've got the flower. Catch." He threw the flower to Jun. Then, a voice rang through his head.Go left of Jun. A bat winged pendant is there. Take it! Hissed his evil side's voice. Abiding to it, he walked to the left. The pendant was on a pedestal. He grabbed it, and put it in his cloak. "Riku! DON'T!" Exclaimed Jun's voice. It was filled in horror.

Lero cocked his head. "Yes?" He said softly, worry clouding his eyes. He musn't stray far from Avalbane.

"I was orphaned six years ago by an assassin. I'm going to find him and get justice for my parent's death." Alura said quietly. "Could you help me find him. Or at least ask your partner if they have an idea who it is? I cannot remember his creed, since I was only six..."

A terrible, highpitched cry rang through the ship. "I think we just found out what happend to skelly!" Jun said, ears raised. The rank smell of dead bodies filled the hold. "Sea rats." Large rats with red eyes swarmed the hold. "For the love of the gods! Not sea rats!" Jun took out her swords and started slicing at the rats. But with every one she killed, ten more swarmed. "RIKU!" She yelled. Riku grinned. He threw three small bombs, exploding and killing about 200 rats. But they swarmed more. Riku's uncovered face was bitten. More and more rats swarmed. Then, it started flooding in the ship. Riku looked at Jun. "Run while you can, Jun! GO!" He exclaimed. "I'm not going!" She grabbed his hand, but he pushed her. "Go now." He said quietly. Regretibly, she ran, the rat's attention on the living being.
