The desrt flowers are almost lotus like, but made of pure crystals- fluorite to be more exact. The bottom part is always a green ish blue, while the top part can vary from a bright pink to a very dark purple. In the drawing i made a nice bright pink!

Ailani decided to gather one, just one, and study it! It’s colors are so pretty, and shiny.. yet, surprisingly cold to the touch!

Prompt (Red Team): "Alright. We're going to do this the old fashioned way! We make no noise and play rounds of card games. Carl, you're unfortunately unable to play, but you can make sure nobody is cheating." Zero said. Solid plan. Carl had too many arms, meaning it wasn't fair for him to play. What better way to pass the night than to play card games? It isn't like any of the raptors on the beautiful vessel had any clue how to navigate by dark...probably an oversight on their part.

Prompt (Blue Team):
One must be very creative to think of a good game to play in a desert as this one we traverse in now, where there is not much to see or find. But even if you aren't very creative, boredom will lead to something, one way or another.

Sullivan tries to keep up with the climbing but his little makeshift arms make it more challenging to climb the steep dunes. If that isn't enough of a bother, all he can see is sand on top of sand! Oh, how many more hills will await us before we find flat land again and our way out of this sand-filled dilemma?

In the boredom of it all and without even realizing, he was so focused on his steps up the hill, he started counting them. Each time he made his way uphill, he would start anew. "One, two, three, four...keep your focus..." He keeps on mumbling to himself when he suddenly realized what he was doing. "Hey, maybe I can turn this into a game for everybody! It may not be the best one but it shall do."



He turns to the others and explains the very simple principles of his game:

For each climb upward, you are to count your steps in your head truthfully and without fail. Each round, one raptor is chosen to think of a random number of steps that is realistically possible for each dune we are challenging. Once everyone succeeded the trip up, you are to let everyone know how many steps it took you to get to the top.

The goal? Whoever's steps were closest to the chosen number of steps the raptor in charge of the role has thought of!

Sullivan thought that making it a fun challenge would motivate everyone to view this predicament in a better light and rather embrace it through play, rather than with frustration.

Prompt (Blue Team): The game is called 'escape the quick sand!' You pretend to fall deep in the sand, but your raptor isn't very good at the game.. you try and let them know the best way to stay afloat is to walk rapidly on the surface but poor Apollo keeps getting knee deep in the sand and falling quite a bit! It takes sooooo long to get through you begin to wonder if you should just drag him through at this point... looks like he lost the game!

Alright, I somewhat lied. I will announce prizes when I close the following round on the 17th. I don’t want to take too long or stress out trying to get everything done in a day so I’ll work on prizes for last round during this open round.

Oh dear, well they certainly can't use the wood of the boat or plants, as they'll definitely burn up....hmmmmmm. Ah ha!

To'khan proposes the use the old junk in the beaches shallows, discard bits and trinkets and there!! An old tire, perfect!
They can cut up the rubber to use as makeshift shoes and the scraps of cloth as laces! It'll be durable for hiking and will protect their feet from the hot, harsh ground. They can even use the treasures on the beach to "pretty them up", if you care for the sort of thing.

Not, that he does..... obviously. What? No of course he wasn't hoarding this sea glass to make his shoes cool looking! *scoff*

We notice a rather big, but shy looking creature in the back. We approach cautiously as the others stare at us, causing anxiety spikes throughout our spines. The creatures eyes we approach widen as they stare at us. We kindly offer friendship in exchange for the ride and the creature seems overjoyed! It's rather round and hard to climb up on, its red beetle like back reminds you of something... with large black spots all over. Of course!! It's a lady bug!

Prompt (Yellow Team): Ailani closes her eyes, focusing on the words. Why they’re here? Well to go on an adventure ofcourse! Explore! Why all this way? Well it’s not like she had much of a choice, she’s exploring with fellow raptors, it’s not like they know the way or what to expect.. One thing Ailani knows: She will not let those gnarled trees stop her! She’ll find a way to make a fire to burn them, find a way to make a sharp blade out of the crystal flower , or even use brute force if she’ll have to!
