What is this dog digging for? Fun! Despite all the work his handlers have put in to try and stop him digging, Oak just can't help himself! Nothing engages this dog more than digging, and he takes every opportunity to do so, even going so far as to reject food and blow off commands. This has caused a few embarrassing moments for his handlers, such as when they were visiting family who don't even have a yard, but they did have potted plants on the balcony. Oak found them. There was dirt and uprooted plants everywhere by the time lunch was over. Oak's handlers thought they were safe, but nope! So long as there's dirt or sand, Oak will find it, and he will begin to dig without a second of hesitation. At this stage, his handlers have all but given up and just have to laugh now anytime he finds so much as an inch of dirt that he just has to stop and dig in.
