Welcome To The Breeding Stables!
This is where you can request breedings between your Sveldalas.
Be sure to read all the rules below to get started.Breeding Rules wrote:. Feel free to mark this page to catch openings if you are not active on Discord!
. Please wait until an artist posts here/in discord stating they are open before requesting a breeding
. Use the artist's provided form and post on this page with it fully filled out
. Artists may require you to have an up to date stable/storage page (this can be held anywhere - toyhouse, CS, separate webpage, even just a linkable notes document is valid) to show that you are properly tracking breeding slots and family lineages
. Artists may choose to request payments of any sort or offer free breedings per their decision
. Common Sveldalas have ten breeding slots
. Uncommon Sveldalas have five breeding slots
. Rare Sveldala's have three breeding slots
. Limited Sveldalas have one breeding slot to start, but this increases by one more slot each year on their birthday
. Sveldalas from 1.0 have the same number of slots they had when 1.0 rarity rules were in effect
. Sveldalas from 1.0 are still fully breedable and can be bred to any 2.0 adopts, though rarity and genetics rules have changed
. In the case a sveldala does not have a genotype, artists will randomly generate one that fits the coat description for breeding purposes
. There is no cool down period between sveldalas, users, or artists
. Despite being able to freely express gender, sveldalas can only be bred naturally - Stallion X Mare (unless a Test Tube item is used)
. Genetics are taken into consideration while breeding, as are carried traits and passing percentages, but this is not strict; you will have no way to perfectly predict the outcome given the breeds strange genetic composition and hidden traits (Fun fact! Sveldalas have what is referred to as 'combustible genes' - this means that they do not follow strict geno passing percentages, and may throw random outcomes without any idea as to why.)
. Created foals will be unable to breed for a full seven days after being posted
. Incest breeding is not allowed - please keep track of your family lines
. You may choose to keep, gift, or adopt out your foal in a public competition (held by the artist) within those first seven days
. Any foal unwanted after the seven day period will need to be rehommed via the usual channels used for adult svels
. Do not ask for a breeding from an artist that is closed or PM anyone asking to open breedings
. Do not pester or rush artists after your breeding is accepted
. You may ask for a progress update on your breeding two weeks after submission
. An artist has every right to deny your breeding request if they dont wish to do it
. The artist does not have to change the foal after its created just because you dont like it
. If you go over your allotted breeding slots, the foal(s) will be revoked (and subsequently rehommed) and sterilized, as will the parent(s)
. There is a 10% chance of getting twins, and a 5% chance of getting triplets
. There is a 5% chance of a foal having a chimeric coat (two or more separate coats)
. There is a 25% chance of a foal having a chimeric coat if /both/ parents have chimeric coats
. When a parent with a chimeric coat is bred only one coat/one (randomly selected) genotype will be used in the breeding
. There is a 15% chance of a foal having a somatic mutation
. Limited markings have a 10% chance of passing
. Sets of twins/triplets do not take away extra breeding slots, each breeding is equal to one slot regardless of how many foals it produces
