Chicoons are a strange subclass of dragon, and although they are closely related to Amphithere as well as Western dragons, they are unlike either! Chicoon have long, flexible necks, a curly and stretchy tongue, floppy ears, a box-like head, wings on their head, and a flame that hovers by their tail.

Chicoon are Arboreal Fruigivores that stand roughly 4 feet in height. They have a high intelligence and can lean how to communicate with any animal, however lack the necessary vocal chords to speak any verbal language. They express emotions mainly through body language and the use of their head-wings, they have proven to be very friendly and generally enjoy the company of humans!

How did the two meet?:As a young chicoon, Gwenivere had a hard time fitting in with others. Instead, she preferred going out and sitting by a local pond where many wild animals and plants lived. One day, Gwen just kinda showed up and joined her. Gwenivere has never been creative with names, so she just decided her friend could borrow a short version of her own. Now they're homies, life hack.

How did the two meet?: Fish saved Chips from a BBQ! he was about to be cooked up when Fish dashed through and grab him, bringing him to safety. Chips thanks Fish for his life, and the two are now BFFs.

How did the two meet?:

Cereal was walking at the edge of the forest, suddenly cereal heard some rustling noises. Then a little shromp came up to him, it seemed scared and very anxious. Cereal picks up the poor little guy,
and gave it a little hug.

The little shromp feels much better after that hug, cereal was about to put it back where he found it, but the little shromp won't leave him.
He had no choice, so he brings the little shromp home, at home cereal have been thinking about a name for the little fella. He sat on the sofa and looked around for name ideas, the one thing he saw was some colorfull fruits on the table. "That's it! I'll name u Fruit! " cereal shouted, the little shromp smiles at cereal, then it curls up into a small circle and fell a sleep.

Cereal gave the little guy a pat on the head,
then he proceeded to sleep with it.

How did the two meet?:
Gleem likes experimenting and trying out mixtures and potions. That’s also where they got their pattern on their body from, and their unnatural-looking eyes. Aural was an attempt of a step-up. They wanted to create something amazing. So one day they went to the store and bought a frozen shrimp. Using a few ingredients they had at home (the kind of stuff you’d put in a bread dough) and somehow managed to get magic out of it. The shrimp came to life and they decided to keep it as a pet.

Came up with this because I watched the Owl House Pilot and the chicoon reminded me of bread.

How did the two meet?: Azzy was fishing when Applesauce jumped onto her leg to avoid a large fish who was chasing him. This scared Azzy quite a bit. Panicked the little guy tried to hide under her toes but she coaxed him out with a few small sardines she was using as bait. She caught the large fish who was chasing Applesauce and brought both of them home. Apple had a very nice fish dinner that night and Azzy just ate some fruit salad. Azzy loves to fish but she can't eat fish so she usually just catches and releases them.

How did the two meet?:Fizz and Tybo met in school when they were in kindergarten. They were both alone so Tybo went and jumped on them, loudly asking if they could be friends. Of course, Fizz said yes. They've been friends for years now and do everything together.

How did the two meet?: Han, an avid shell collector, was meandering along the beach when they bumped into Zoozle. They hadn't been paying much attention and had nearly grabbed Zoozle thinking he was a shell too! After a brief one-sided feud, Han explained they meant no harm. Zoozle, pretending to still be a little peeved, enlisted Han to help him find some beautiful shells of his own. Han happily agreed and the two have spent countless hours together since collecting whatever else catches their eyes. Their collecting has expanded from just shells to flowers, leaves, stones, and sometimes bugs, which they care for attentively.

How did the two meet?:

Karl was far from home now. He was just out walking along the shore, trying to find some new sticks for his home! Now, here's here. Wandering in the forest for higher powers know how long. He was sad, scared and on the edge of giving up!

Then, he heard footsteps. Loud steps of someone he knew was much.. much(!) bigger than him! And, due to him walking for ages and having mild brain fogs, he couldn't figure out a place to hide! So, he was out in the open, waiting for whatever met him to have mercy. The strange creature finally reached him. They looked down at Karl curiously before bending their head to get a closer look. They and Karl looked at each other for moment, before the large creature smiled at Karl! The creature took their tail and started writing in the dirt for Karl to see.

"My name is Paul!" they wrote. "What's yours?"
"K...Karl," he squeaked out, nervously. The chicoon flapped, what to Karl looked like their... wings? But.. on the top of their head?
"What are you doing here?"
"I got.. lost."
The creature looked at him, head tilted, and thinking. The forest was quiet except for the occasional bird sound and the pitter of a few other creatures. After what it felt like ages, when it was really at most a minute, the creature wrapped their tail around Karl and put him on their back.
"What are you doing?!" Karl yelled as the being started walking.
"Getting you back home!" they wrote, smiling.
"Oh... thank you... what.. are you by the way?"

"I'm a chicoon!" they said!

Companion name: Flipp (nickname for Philip, given to him by Deliah because he sometimes jumps and uses his strong tail to do backflips. When he's very excited they can become quite intense)
How did the two meet?:
Deliah had only traveled for about a week when the storm rolled in. She had set out, determined to become an adventurer, despite the perils of such a lifestyle. When the rain had begun to fall so heavily that the dense vegetation along the forest trail could no longer shelter her she had scrambled into hiding under some rocks. There was a small cavernous space, just barely big enough for her to fit, but she managed to squeeze through and find a relatively comfortable spot to wait out the worst of it.
When she emerged again the forest was devastated and broken, uprooted trees strewn everywhere. This was not all though. She knew at once that something had changed. There was an omnious energy like an electrical humming vibrating in the air and a lingering smell of ozone and salt.
She carefully made her way over the torn trees when there was a russtle among the foliage and broken brances of a large fallen oak. She stopped to listen, fur prickling. There was something moving in there. It seemed to be rather small and after a short while her fear gave away and was replaced by curiosity. Carefully parting the leaves she saw a small creature that was violently thrasing, trying to free itself from under a large branch that had it firmly pressed against the trunk of the tree. Black beady eyes were gazing at her, filled with desperation and fear. It reminded her of the small creatures of the sea that she and her brothers had playfully chased after in the shallows when they were younger, except this was much larger, almost the size of her head, and had tuffted pink fur instead of armoured plates all along its belly. They stared at each other for a moment. "Please don't eat me!" it said, looking pleadingly at her. "Please!"

She helps the creature and learns that it calls itself Philip. They become friends and it decides to accompany her on her journey to adventure. Soon they learn that Philip had been profoundly changed by the storm and carried far away from his home. But Flipp is not the only thing that has been changed by exposure to the tempest. Soon they must set out to try to understand what caused it and to restore calm to the once so peaceful lands. Flipp wants to find his home and Deliah agrees to help him. As they travel together they grow close and form a tight bond of friendship. In order to restore the world to its former order they need to break that magic that the storm brought. But what will happen to Flipps transformation if they proceed to do that? Will he be forced to go back to the sea and lose their friendship forever?
