rerelease date question

so i just got the mountain zebra in a trade, and I noticed its rerelease has a strange date? it says 2021-01-02 instead of 2020-12-18. any ideas on why this was?

Zebras can very rarely be obtained from the regular monthly horse/pony/draft litters. Basically, sometimes when you adopt those litters, there's an off chance one of them will be a zebra instead.

Yes, they were originally released in 2009, but because zebras are Tess's favorite animal, she wanted them to be obtainable in other ways as well, while still keeping them as rare and special.

I still don't understand lol. What's the "other way" if it was as a Re-release then it would have the 12/18 date

Like I explained, you can get them, albeit very rarely, when you adopt the normal monthly litters of horses, ponies, and drafts.
