Im new somewhat and super tired but I got this message from a pet and I thought it was cute/funny lmao


Awwwww, I'll never forget that day when you adopted me from the pound . I thought I'd never be adopted, but then you came and stroked me softly through the bars of my cage and took me home with you. And now you're sending me away and I won't be able to be with you any more . I hope my new owner will be as kind as you were to me.

Yep, they do this! The first one I got I believe I bookmarked the message and then canceled the trade Still have the pet too.

Yeah, i turned mine off. I felt bad but am after really niche collections/aesthetics of pets that i couldnt take rhe guilt trippy messages. I also have a history of being guilt tripped and donr really like it? But i remember being really confused when i got my first message. Its kinda interesting that THAT data is being kept on your pets. Makes me wondar- yknow? Through a pets internal data could one trace the history of a pet and whi ir was with? Imagine the journy-

Honestly i should find a mildy popular pet and just joining the tracking a pet train, i can imagine the data id collect to be entertaining

how do you turn it on?

Mine were always on I believe, I didn't mess with the settings at all. I have been on here for a couple months or something and this was my first time getting it. So I am not entirely sure :'0

These messages are always on! They're sent every time you send or accept a trade with a pet you adopted from the pound in it. Currently, there is no way to fully turn them off (except maybe for turning your PMs off entirely, but that prevents all messages from coming through).

What you can do is set up a rule to delete them the moment you check your inbox.

Click on "messages" and then go to "Rules, Folders & Settings".
Under the header "Add new rule", do the following:
If Subject begins with A message from your pet | Delete message

This will delete all PMs that start with "A message from your pet", so all pound PMs. Unfortunately, you'll still get a notification every time you trade away a pet you adopted from the pound, and see the "1 new" message. The message and notification will be deleted once you check your inbox, but there's currently no way to turn these notifications off.
