Dragon Island is a large continent-sized island. It has many different types of regions. From the forest, grassland, tundra, desert, and even cold snowy mountains.

Life here for humans is strange. Not much modern tech is allowed here, with the exception of some major things such as electrical components to modern clothing, though not all choose to use these. Most of the island is set up to resemble the days of old... Castles, villages, towns, markets. Citys are large and lined with stone walls. Its a perfect mix of new and old.

City Info

Malcorth City

A large castle sits out on this spit of land with a city built around it. This is very prosperous city and brings in lots of items and needed supplies via its south port. Two large stone dragon carvings guard the city gates.

Dragon Tear City

Dragon Tear sit at the edge of the large rainforest. It rains...a lot. Its a more quite city, people wise that is. Lots of tropical birds call this area home, as well as colorful dragons. Its well known for its wood crafts.

Citaroon City

This city cits deep within the woods. It has many mines around it and is very successful in finding rare and valuable ores for crafting dragon gear. Expert leatherworkers also reside here.

Bone Mountain City

"Bone City" sits between the Shimmering Mountains and the Bone Mountains. And while it sits between them, its elevation is also high up. Harsh winds rip through this location in the fall and winter months, keeping its people mostly indoors using the underground tunnels for travel.

Tabnith City

This city sits within the hot scorching desert. It has many oases that surround it, however, giving water to weary travelers. Glass comes from here, as human and dragon work side by side with endless supplies of sand for their craft. An old temple stands as the central gathering point.

Please Note

All items that go on your dragons are premade item lines. If you are the first to order an item for that species, it will be drawn out, but the next person to order the same item for the same species will also get the same drawn item previously. This is to help save time as these are not custom made items!

Items will all be colored/drawn in a preset color. There is one option, however...

"MAKE IT GOLD?"

You may make any item in this recipe book out of SOLD GOLD if you include the required amount of gold nuggets when requesting it being made. (this will add shimmering highlights and make it a solid gold color)

Potion kits are a special item that is VERY VERY rare to find while adventuring. It is kept in your inventory and is never used it, it helps you possibly brew TWO of the potion you are attempting to brew, but it does not always work

Basic Dragon Info

-All dragons eat meat, with the exception of a few species that eat both meat and plant matter. Some dragons prefer seafood, while others prefer land-dwelling creatures.

-Dragons magical abilities (breath/elements) are not locked into their species. Each dragon is different, having different magic types. Some don't even have magic or breath powers! THE EXCEPTION being rare dragons, which are all elemental and follow their species element.

-All dragons can speak to one another and can understand human languages. However, very VERY few can speak human languages. Those that can are often not partnered with a human, but live among humans as their own being.

-Dragons do not mind having owners, in fact, most quite like it! Those that don't remain wild. Its easy food, good company, and fun adventures. The bond between a dragon and their human is very special.

Common Species Info

Western Dragon

Western dragons are some of the best flyers on Dragon Island. Their large webbed wings make them able to soar for hours on warm updrafts. They eat only meat of various kinds and love to hunt. They are large enough for two people to ride on their backs with ease. They are found all over the island.

Eastern Dragon

Eastern dragons are long wiggly fluffy noodles of the sky. They fly without wings and its unknown just how they do that. They have thick soft manes and small antler horns. Their whiskers are super sensitive and help them hunt fish which is their meat of choice. They also eat veggies and fruit. They can hold 2-3 riders on their long slender backs. They are found all over the island.

Wyvern Dragon

Wyverns are fast and agile flyers. They are slightly smaller than their western friends so can only carry one human at a time. These dragons eat meat of any kind. Their hind legs are super powerful and can strike out at incredible speed. Found anywhere on the island.

Sea Dragon

These long wiggly friends live all over the oceans surrounding the island. They have powerful tail fins and can reach great speeds. They eat mostly just fish but will hunt other ocean mammals if they are easy prey. They cant carry a human but can tow them along behind them with long ropes, normally two humans max. They are very long, normally as long as 9 humans combined. They can be found in the shallows and deep sea.

Brute Dragon

Brute dragons are land-dwelling dragons. They have powerful front legs they use to dig into the hard-packed earth and soft stone walls. They have thick spined tails that they use as weapons. They cant carry any humans on their back as its far too spine covered to do so. Their wings can only carry them as they glide from ledge to ledge. They are found mostly in the mountain foothills. They will eat any meat.

Uncommon Species Info

Beta Dragon

These dragons are small, maybe the size of a rainbow trout! They are very territorial and the males will fight for the best space often nipping at each other's fins. They eat smaller fish. These dragons make great additions to small man-made ponds as they are very flamboyant and often spread their fins to show off. Found in freshwater ponds and streams island-wide.

Bird Dragon

These dragons are fast, some of the fastest flyers, often matching the wyvern types. Their long slender nose horns can vibrate at fast speeds which create a loud whistling sound which is where their nicknames of "Screamers" came from. These dragons are highly smart and can mimic human speech to an extent. They eat any meat and are large enough to carry a smaller sized adult on their back. Found in non-tropical forest types.

Lizard Dragon

The size of a house cat, these grumpy dragons love to puff out their "beards" to display dark colors when angry. While they look spikey, their "spines" are all soft enough they wont directly stab you unless they intend to do so. They eat mostly bugs and small animals. Found in the hot desert areas.

Wolf Dragon

Just like their animal cousins, these dragons are wolf sized. They also travel in packs but will perch in trees to attack from above while other packmates chase the prey past. Warm soft coats keep them safe in their cold harsh homes of the tundras. They prefer any kind of meat. Cant carry anyone but can pull sleds in teams.

Bee Dragon

Fluffy, buzzy...and live in leaf made hives. These small palm-sized dragons are soft to the touch and lack a stinger! Their rounded wings are semi-transparent and flap so fast it can be hard to see. While they will feast on small meat bit pieces, they prefer fresh fruit that is very ripe! They live in meadows and neutral temp areas with trees. While they don't make honey like bees may....they do make waxy residues on their legs that can be removed and made into candles!

Rare Species Info

Air Dragon

Air dragons are massive flying beasts. One of the largest of the species these dragons come with two sets of wings and no true "legs" though they can walk on the bends of their wings much like a wyvern but prefer not too since it will mess up their feathers. Their feathers always have a gentle breeze around them which can turn into a fast gust when angered. That is their element after all. They are great to ride on hot days as the wind they produce keeps you cool. They can carry up to 4 people.

Fire Dragon

Fire dragons are average in size. However, don't let this fool you, these dragons can be a PAIN to handle. Their fire runs down their back and to the tip of their tail ending in a large massive flame. This fire is unique though and has the ability to not burn anything if they so choose, but just as I stated, they can also burn things to a crisp. I don't recommend riding on one for this reason.

Water Dragon

Water dragons are unique beasts, with currents of water always swirling around their tail. This water can be calm like a gentle ocean lapping at the sand of violent like a hurricane thrown wave. These dragons are often found far offshore so don't always make the best of pets as they long to be in deeper waters, but some do adapt to life in the shallows. Their head bobble does not glow, with the exception of Abysial type in which it does, and their water turns darker colors. They can tow up to 3 people

Earth Dragon

Earth dragons are very large sturdy dragons. More bulky then long, these dragons love to chew up and eat rock. It's said it makes up half their diet. They grow large rocks along their back, of natural colors...though some subspecies have been seen with beautiful crystal colors along their body. The have thick digging claws that are tight together to form a shovel of sorts and their long boney nose keeps their face protected for when the root for rocks to eat. It's not a very comfy ride but they can easily seat 3 people weight wise...if you can find the space to sit.

Very Rare Species Info

Psychic Dragon

These unique dragons actually only have two real eyes, despite their look, as all others are false eyes! However, one rumor that is true is that these dragons do have the ability to use their mind in strange ways. From picking up objects to reading the minds of other dragons. They never seem to use it maliciously unless provoked, however. These are just a bit taller when standing to humans, maybe by a half a human. They don't carry people for some reason, or pull them along but do like helping them with tasks like lifting heavy objects with their minds.

Undead Dragon

A true dragon island mystery, undead dragons are well, undead. No one knows how or why. It can happen with any species once they pass, and they slowly transform into an undead species once left alone to nature. It does not happen all the time, nor has anyone seen it with their own eyes. They seem to have exposed bits and pieces but are in no pain. Most don't like it but some have found in their hearts to take these lovelies under their "wings" and into their homes. They can carry someone if the special gear is made for their dragon to fit their body shapes.

Fluffy Dragon

A species hailing from high north in the bone mountains. These dragons have SUPER thick warm fur coats covering their entire body. It keeps the snow from off of them and folks love to collect shed dragon fur and weave it into warm coats and blankets for their homes. Their long tails are great for sweeping the snow away from their dens. They can carry one to two people depending. You need to keep more then one of these as they can get VERY lonely with out one of their kind around.

Twin Headed Dragon

Probably the more annoying of dragons, the twin-headed dragon loves to bicker with itself. Each head has its own thought and personality and name. They share one body...it makes things interesting. Don't get me wrong though, they do love being together even if they dont always agree. These dragons do not fly, but can run rather fast, and can carry two folks on their back. Watch out when in the wild, if you anger one, their strikes are fast and dangerous!

Poison Dragon

This dragon packs a punch when fighting. Its large stinger on its tail is full of a poison that causes muscles to freeze up and be unable to move. Their large fangs also carry the same kind, but less so. These dragons have large hoods that can open or close, to show warning markings on the inside. But even with their tempers, these can be great dragons to keep as their venom can be used to make anti-venom that works for ANY poison of any kind! Once tame, these dragons are SUPER loyal, but even then its good to buy a stinger cover just in case. Can carry one person.
