After I buy a baby from hatchery, how do I know what species it is?

You can tell by the line-art of the pet when you adopt it:

Chicken


Chameleon


Macaw

The eggs will vary in colour each month, but you can tell by their shape what species they will be.

In addition to the above, we also have

Western Dragons


And Eastern Dragons which share the same egg as Chickens
For these there's no way to know for sure until they start hatching, but they will most commonly be Chickens. Though occasionally they will be Eastern Dragons or even a mixed litter that includes both
