What is an off account adoption?

I've been meaning to ask. They seem to have no owners.

Off-account pets are pets that were adopted when you are not logged in, which is why they have no owners. There'll be a page created for the pet, but the pet cannot be traded/dressed up.

Oof. I've seen some pretty rare off accounts. What a shame.

Fortunately off-account adopts don't count toward the overall rarity of a pet on-site either. They don't effect anything (although it can be frustrating if you do get something really cool off-account

They're really just for fun! It's cool to see the different outcomes growing up, especially on special occasions like December 18th rereleases!
