"Dovelight, I'm afraid you must travel with us to the Starfield this time. You're the only cat who can," Yarrowleaf goaded, eyes intent and determined.

The Starfield was the ancestor meeting ground. Was it truly that time again?
Dovelight stretched his legs, gazing off to the side in a clear disinterest. "I'm the wrong cat to ask. Why can't you take someone like -- I don't know, Laburnumsong?"
"Laburnumsong doesn't know the land like you do, Dovelight. And besides, she has work to do as well, you know how she is..." Yarrowleaf sighed, prodding the other cat to get up once more with his tail. "Please do this. You know it's not just for protection."


A sharp green gaze came back to mind; a familiar sliced ear, oh...

"No!" he hissed, suddenly overwhelmed with fear. Yarrowleaf stepped back in shock. "I refuse to go where the ancestors are! Take someone else, Yarrowleaf."
His eyes glinted in fear for a few moments; then Yarrowleaf realized the only thing he could do.



"I can't believe-- wow, you got him here!" Dawnpaw whispered quite loudly, much to the annoyance of Dovelight. "What did you do?"
Good old threatening from dear old Minkstar, that's what, Dovelight thought, unamused.

He hadn't expected to actually visit the ancestors with them, honestly; all he wanted to do was stay behind with them and then leave.
But as he stood before the pool they used to communicate - well - he found himself rather tired...



"Dove?"
He turned around.

What surrounded the two cats was a beautiful array of the galaxy beyond; highlights of purples and blues, all strewn on a dark blue sky.
The field they stood on was much like the one they played on as kittens; and as he stood up, he was hit overwhelmingly by emotion.

"Cormorant."

A tear slipped by; and he hardly seemed to notice.

"Why had you never come to visit me? Why were you always so scared?"

"I never thought I'd see you redeemed! I never wanted to see you; I always shied away from coming here..." Dovelight seemed caught up in his words; yet continued, "I never wanted to see you banished. I feared that would kill me."

There was no red glow, but there was no white.
He had been ruled neutral.

"To see my own brother judged evil would be a fate worse than death."

Hurricanesurge, a lazy cat who is stubborn and snappy when forced to do something he doesn't want to do, puts off his hunting duties. The warrior claims it is just a boring task and there are plenty of other cats who can hunt while he fights, but the main reason is that he is scared of the jungle and the predators living in its depths. He puts his clanmates at risk because there are fewer cats available for patrols which makes it a bit harder to catch enough prey to feed the entirety of the clan.
