Catfé is an adoptable center based on world building and creating your own Cat Cafe! Users are encouraged to develop their cafe so the characters don't just sit and rot. We're hoping to become a very welcoming community and drama free!

Cat Breed rules;;
These are VERY important, so read carefully!
-Special mutations and specific cat breeds are NOT allowed as customs/founders
-they are reserved for special adopts, staff customs, etc.
Lost limbs, Chimera, Somatic, Albino, vitiligo, folded ears, curled ears, bobtails, any named breeds (ex. manx, oriental, etc.), custom lines, male calicos/torties/calibies/torbies, curly fur, etc.

Item rules;;
-Cats may have items like collars, bandanas, harnesses, etc. ! Anything simple you can put on your IRL cat can be put on a Catfe cat
-Items may only be earned through challenges or events
-Founders may not request to have items (staff excluded)
-ANY CAT can have an item when earned


General Rules;;
Catfe is a generally SELF ARCHIVED adoption center. You must be responsible enough to update your thread with new cats as the archive only tracks CAFE NAME, LEVEL, AND CAT NUMBER
Be nice and respectful to everyone!
Do not pester/bug staff members
Art/writing used for Catfe must be CS appropriate
Give credit to the artists for designs!
Cats must have realistic designs and colors
Do not change designs

Adding scars, changing fur length, removing limbs, etc.
Rules may be changed as I see fit
You may only have ONE cafe
You may have the same cafe names, but please at least try and be unique
Cafe names must be CS appropriate
Cafe names can be whatever you’d like (ex. Kitty Kafe)
Cafes can be set wherever
You must make and maintain a thread/site for your cafe
If you do not make a thread and get to level one within a month, your founder will be rehomed
If you are banned from CS/Catfe your cats will be rehomed
Do not repost founder forms
You may only submit ONE founder form
You may order ONE custom max per month. Customs always reset on the first

Scar rules;;
You must submit a form when killing off a cat
A cat is not dead until you specify that they are dead
Scars are earned and rolled through art and writing
Blind/deafness MAY be requested as a scar
Scars will sometimes be on adopts randomly
Some cat adopts will be blind/deaf
Some kittens may be born blind/deaf

Breeding rules;;
You may only submit one breeding form a month
You can ask for breedings to be genetic based or appearance based
Do not complain if you don’t get accepted for a breeding
Kittens have the chance at being born with a mutation like albinism, chimeria, and somatic
You must submit an art or writing piece to breed your cats

Art must at least be a flatcolored fullbody with a simple background, and both cats should be present if applicable
Writing should be at least 500 words
If you have LGBTQ+ cats, donors will be available to breed with if you still want kittens for an LGBTQ+ pair

Transaction rules;
Transactions within Catfe are allowed

Selling cats is allowed
Trading cats is allowed
Gifting cats is allowed
You may NOT sell your founder
You MAY trade and gift your founder
You may NOT sell a custom for more than you bought it for
Selling cats outside of Catfe is allowed (CUSTOMS ONLY)

You may not give the original artwork of the cat
You must have a separate reference sheet for the cat if you want to sell them outside of Catfe
You MUST alert Kiffell, and they will be labeled deceased within Catfe after they are sold
Deceased cats may not be sold/traded/gifted

Outside rules;;
You MAY use Catfe characters outside of Catfe, BUT

You may not use the official art
You must use different art if you want to use them elsewhere (Toyhou.se and artfight NOT included)
You MAY breed Catfe characters outside of Catfe, but the offspring may not be made into real Catfe kittens UNLESS they are genetically accurate and you buy them as a custom.
Deceased cats may be used outside of Catfe as OCs

You may request ONE founder. If you don't level up and make a thread in ONE month your founder will be readopted. You may not get another free one but you may adopt cafeless cats or order a custom.

Getting a founder:
-please DO NOT repost your founder forms! all unclaimed are on a list.
-To get your founder you must post this form with what you'd like, and an artist will pick it up for you
-You may request scars
-You may not request custom lines or lineart edits

Making a thread:
-Before you can level up you must make a thread
-Threads can be on CS, a website maker, TH, anywhere that is manageable
-Threads must be appropriate and no personal information may be shared

Leveling:
-You start a level zero (0)
-To level up, you must complete development tasks
-Post on the archive with a level up form to confirm your level up
-You do not need to wait for your tasks to be confirmed, but if they do not meet the requirements you will be contacted

Level up tasks;;
Art pieces should be flatcolored, fullbody, and with a simple background
Writings should at least be 200 words
If you have your own ranks in your Cafe, some tasks may be centered around those!
-Level 0

You can have 1 cat in total (founder)

-Make a cafe thread
-Write about or draw your cafe interior
-Give your founder a personality (200+ words)

-Level 1
You can have 4 cats in total (1 Cafe leader)

Write about or draw your founder meeting a new member
Write about or draw about your cafe’s surroundings
Write about what you wish to achieve as a cafe owner

-Level 2
You can have 8 cats in total (1 Cafe leader)

Write about or draw your cat interacting with a customer
Create a personality or history for 2 cafe cats (200+ words each)
Describe your cafe’s reputation (200+ words)

-Level 3
You can have 12 cats in total (1 Cafe leader)

Write about or draw your cats sneaking into the kitchen
Create a personality or history for 2 cafe cats (200+ words each)
Write about or draw one of your cats causing trouble

-Level 4
You can have 16 cats in total (1 Cafe leader)

Write about or draw a cafe hunt (what are your cats hunting for? food? pets? shoes?)
Create a personality or history for 2 cafe cats (200+ words each)
Write about or draw a fight between two cats

-Level 5+
For every level past 5 you can add on 4 cats

Draw or order art of 2 cats
Create a history or personality for 2 cats (200+ words each)
Write or draw two scenes

Customs;;

-You may get one custom a month
-Customs are paid for using c$, dA points, pets, art, or any site currency the artist wants and that allows art trades for
-Artists may take on as many customs as they want, and are not forced to take customs every month
-Please only post a form when an artist posts they are open
-If you have concepts, you may list a MAX of three concepts for the artist to choose from

Trades/Gifts/Sales;;

-You may gift, trade, and sell Catfe cats
-You may only sell customs
-Customs may only be sold for less than or the same price as bought as
-Both parties must be level 1 in order to trade/gift
-Both parties must post on each of the cats pages for it to be a confirmed trade/gift
-One party must post a trading form on the archive for any transactions
-Each cat has a two month cooldown for transfers (ex. if a cat is obtained on July 2nd it may not be traded until September 2nd)
-This does not apply for newborn kittens
-Newborn kittens may be transferred immediately but after the first transfer is complete the new owner must wait two months


HMs and RUs;;

-HMs may be awarded as an artist sees fit
-5 hms gets you a semi custom (you choose breed or color)
-10 hms gets you a full custom
-RUs may be awarded as an artist sees fit
-1 RU may be awarded for every adopt
-If multiple RUs would like to be awarded, they must be discussed with Kiffell
