Would it be ok if they sent a pm offering to pay with real world currency, then we went to discord to complete the transaction? I see a ton of artists here making adopts and asking for usd as payment, so I’m a bit confused as to why I’m being told this?

Everyone is told the same thing, that USD payment may not be discussed on CS because completing the transaction breaks our privacy rules. You should provide a link to da (or similar) where they can contact you instead.
