I’d be fine with that. Maybe she really wanted an apprentice and Velvetpaw’s old mentor died/left/retired recently. Velvetpaw is about old enough to become a warrior so having a blind mentor wouldn’t affect her much.

Lightningtail is the mottled grey and black warrior with
striking yellow eyes. He is long, slim, and light on
his paws, much like his brother. He is wise
beyond his years and likes to plan things out
before acting, and treats the leader's word
as law, just as long as it follows the warrior code.
He is more quiet and sensible than his brother,
keeping him and others in line.

carefree though, some thinking that he acts
