History:
Wapiti were discover in the Northern Parts of the United States by Native Americans. Native Americans would befriend the herds of Wapiti because of their calm and sweet personality as well as their thick fur that could be used for warm blankets. Pictures of people riding Wapitis can be found in old caves. Now-a-days they are a preferred animal to sheep and alpaca herds.
Diet:
Wapitis are herbivores, but will often eat bugs for extra nutrition. In captivity they eat more hay and grass, but in the wild they eat more bugs and berries.
Relations with Humans:
Wapitis love other creatures and are extremely playful, Wapitis will play with any moving thing. They are also very protective of the herds young, which is why most people with children will own a Wapiti.
Offspring:
Wapitis will have usually one baby, but sometimes they will produce two.
Size:
Wapitis stand between 3 to 5 feet tall at the shoulders.
