What you're seeing on the right is an unposted sketch I did way, way back in 2010. I never finished it as I had a lot of computer problems back in 2010, mostly to do with me putting virus's on my parents computer since I didn't know any better |'D
On the left is the redrawn version of that untouched sketch.
This is meant to be a message of sorts to all artists, for those who are discouraged by how good others are, don't. Everyone improves at different paces and even if you may not see improvement after 1, 2, 3, or even more years that doesn't mean that you will never improve, you are improving but it is in different areas other than style.
My style has been at a standstill for 3 years now but I see improvement more in terms of perspective and color use, just because my style hasn't changed doesn't mean that I haven't improved. The same goes for you guys who may be discouraged by how good other people's styles are and how yours may look the same, you are improving. Don't give up. Anyone can be an artist, it just depends how far you want to go with being one to truly succeed.
I hope that this inspires people to try and continue to strive and become an artist, because I've seen many people grown from around the same place I once was too.
