Prompt:
Most of the clan worship the sacred mourning dove... but Pikepetal just refuses to bow down to such birds. To spite the clan she was taken into, she "praises" salmon instead. Well she pretends to, though she doesn't really have a connection to them or maybe she wished she did. She actually has a more noticeable love-hate relationship with beavers. Pikepetal actually spites the clan she belongs to because they were only able to save her and not her twin brother Salmonmist. Though Pikepetal would later go to the beaver dam at the base of the Eridanus River connecting to Hydra Lake, the place where Salmonmist perished after getting dragged under the dam by the river's strong current. She would start pacing, shouting at the top of her lungs that she'll kill every last beaver and that her new clan are worthless to her. Unsheathing her perfectly, white , hooked claws, the she cat looked down in anger. Her amber eyes becoming slits and a scowl was written a cross her delicate blue tabby face. Tears welled up in her amber eyes, as she continually slashed the dam before crashing down onto it. Placing her soft, blue paws on her head and sobbing. Through her cries she heard a small cry before she heard a splash. Her head darting up in panic, her amber eyes locked onto a baby beaver scrambling in the water. About to turn around, the helpless young beaver suddenly turned into a blue golden smoke tom. Salmonminst. Shaking her head frantically, the she cat landed onto the dam and put her paw out to try and hook the small beaver. In a panic, the she cat dived into the fast flowing water and picked the small brown fluff delicately in her jaw. Pikepetal had always been a stronger swimmer, her paws working ten to the dozen to try and swim to safety. To no avail the she cat spotted a strong branch ahead. Letting the current take her to it, she dragged herself up and the small baby beaver. Pikepetal would stay with the young beaver until it warmed up, after that she stood up and tried to leave but it followed. She kept nudging the baby beaver to its home, when it saw its actual mother it would leave but now every time she visits the dam sight Pikepetal is greeted by the beaver she saved.
