Welcome to the
ARMS Club!

ARMS is a fighting game for Nintendo Switch originally released (in most regions) in June 2017.
It features characters with extendable limbs known as "ARMS", who compete in a boxing-like sport using various weapons (also known as "ARMS") that they can wear like gloves.

In-universe, the exact origin of these spring-like limbs is unknown; most often, individuals will simply wake up to find that they have seemingly gained the "Gift of ARMS" overnight.

Favorite character(s): Dr. Coyle; she's my main for a reason. >:3 I also love Mechanica and Min Min. Spring Man's too goofy to not love, too. (Also, Helix is adorable, and Lola Pop is hilarious, so shout out to them, as well.)
Favorite ARM(S): I'm always trying out different ones, but so far, probably Roaster, Phoenix, Megaton, Clapback, Revolver, Skully, and Lokjaw.
Anything else?: On the Switch, my screen name is currently Stär(♀), but I've also been known to go by Älphα-B from time to time. (I've also been Stär without the symbol, as well as simply Star. I also once went by B-Gum for a special occasion, and may use it (or other variations of Bubblegum) again if I feel like a fun, temporary change.)

(Ermagersh, I can't believe I didn't mention Lola Pop and Helix in my list of other favorites; they're great. xD)

I've put up the first poll. Just a pretty basic one to start things off. (I'm sure it's 100% obvious who I'm voting for, heeheeee)
(I totally would have included the DLC fighters, too, but there just wasn't enough room. ^v^; The next one will probably be all about them, though, to make up for it.)

That moment when I realize that only one of my current go-to ARMS is one of the ARMS I listed on my form here
And then we have all of the other ARMS I've been trying between then and now (like the Slapamander, which I've been shown with on the NA leaderboard so many times before)

Aaahh, and I just have to mention it here, too: it feels so good to finally be fighting for Mechanica in a Party Crash. >w< I'm really excited for the badges we'll win after the event, tooooooo~ *v* (Tempted to switch to one of them once they're here~)

I know team Mechanica ended up suffering the biggest loss in the history of Party Crash (we were so outnumbered oh geez), but that was probably the most fun I've had during a Party Crash yet. ;v; We fought so bravely. <3

Anyway, on another topic, can I just randomly say that I feel really bad for actual respectable Ninjara and Springtron players? Going by experience, it looks like a lot of obnoxiously poor sports and other distasteful players gravitate towards those characters in particular for some reason, which probably really hurts their reputations. (I think Ninjara has it the worst, but I've seen a lot of obnoxious Springtrons, too.)
Maybe I'm just imagining it, but it sure seems that the majority of poor sports I run into are picking one of those two. It's a shame that they end up making those (perfectly good) characters look bad, considering that, like all characters, there are plenty of actual good, respectful players who happen to main them, too.

(That being said, even the poorest sports in ARMS are nothing compared to how bad a lot of other games have it on a regular basis, and I'm so thankful we don't have to deal with that kind of toxicity here. Aside from the extremely, overwhelmingly rare appearance of a deliberate teamkilling griefer in something like Vs. Hedlok, the most disrespect we have to deal with is very occasional people who do vague little "dances" mid-match as a taunt (not exactly a devastating gesture xD). I won't even hesitate to say that this game has the greatest online atmosphere in fighting game history. <3)
