Dear Mom and Dad,
I have thought about telling you this for a while, but I never got the guts to do it. I was scared you wouldn't love me or treat me differently. But now I have gotten the guts to tell you. You may say it's through a letter, yes, it is the only way I'm comfortable speaking to you about this. I have thought about this for a while and experimented over and over and over. I (My real name) identify as bisexual. What does that mean? It means I like both girls and guys. As I am writing this I don't think I have the guts again, but if this made it then I was brave enough to do it. It's ok if you don't consider me your precious daughter anymore. But I don't get that, just because I love someone of the same gender, doesn't mean I'm a bad person. Love is Love. Imagine if things were reversed, guys could only like guys and girls could only like girls. If you and mom fell in love what would you do? Just ignore each other's feelings? No, it's not that easy. It's hard to ignore your feelings. It also hard when people bash you for it, heck even people in your own community (LGBTQ). There is so much more I can say, but I'll save it for an other time.
Sincerely,
(My real name)
