My finch hen plucks, so I thought giving her a foraging box would help. She loves it. She spends hours searching through it for her favorite things. Right now I am putting in straw and apple twigs and millet clusters, but what else would be good to put in?

Heyo! So I'm Regulus, just call me Reg or Reggie, please! I've got a four-month-old Quaker, and am really enjoying him! I got him at the local bird fair, and he was a rescue bird. He really seems to love me, and he's super adorable! He's a beautiful shade of green with a silver stomach and half face. We're still deciding on a name, but I really love Pompeii for a name. Any name ideas? I'll post a picture of him tomorrow! He's got a really nice cage, one built for a much larger bird. He was a last-minute decision, and no one in my family planned on getting a bird!

Cool! Quakers are amazing little birds, but very needy, If you have any questions, ask me! I have a quaker too!

Hello! So as you may know, about a month ago my dad brought home Sammy, our yellow budgiw c: c;

Although he is very fit and healy, he's just very quiet, unlike 'ol Peanut ( :( ). My dad likes budgies that are chirpy :/ is there a way to get him to talk?
He also likes go fly up to high spaces (even though he had his flight feathers snipped! He's very strong XD) so is there a good way to bond with him and let him be friends with us??

Thank you in advance :3

for bonding....clicker and bird training....

Hello! I've been doing a lot of research on owning a parrot or bird and I've never had birds in the past. This is something I have not researched completely and don't plan on adopting a bird until I am completely comfortable with the idea because I know this is a life long commitment. I have heard parrots or certain species being compared to owning a toddler, so I want to be 100% sure this is something I can handle.

My questions (if anyone cam answer them)

1. What is a good beginner bird that has been known to form a strong bond with their owner?

2. Would a moustached Parakeet or a sun conure be a good starter bird? And are they common birds to find?

3. Can a bird or one of the birds listed above be left caged during the day for 6 hours a day? (Since I work an 9 hour job, but my wife would be at home)

4. What do you do when you go on vacation and leave your birds at home?

Thank you in advance for any answer:)
