What do you mean by that? I don't know much about finches, but budgies will preen each other and take out some of their own feathers/their friend's feathers to help them when they're molting.

Like my hen chases her hubby into the corner of the cage and pulls his feathers out as well as just bickering with him in general all day long. That is a zebra finch problem.

Hey guys!! I haven't been on for a while after little Sky's passing :c

Anyway, as a surprise, a couple of days ago my dad came home with a budgie! (Yeah, yeah, it's literally a necessity in our household, lol)
He's about 4 months old and completely YELLOW, I'm gonna put up some pictures soon for real.
They got him at a place near an Op-shop called Good Sammy's, so I suggested calling him Sammy and my family liked it for once! (And I mean, like, even my SISTER.) XD

Heyo! So I'm Regulus, just call me Reg or Reggie, please! I've got a four-month-old Quaker, and am really enjoying him! I got him at the local bird fair, and he was a rescue bird. He really seems to love me, and he's super adorable! He's a beautiful shade of green with a silver stomach and half face. We're still deciding on a name, but I really love Pompeii for a name. Any name ideas? I'll post a picture of him tomorrow! He's got a really nice cage, one built for a much larger bird. He was a last-minute decision, and no one in my family planned on getting a bird!

Also, when we got Sammy I noticed a lil' 'barnacle' on his foot?? My dad said that it is probably mites so we put some oil on it (messing up his feathers Hhhh) and it seems to be going down c: oil is okay for budgies, rigghhttt??? XD
