Leposas (Lepidoptera vulpes), or posas for short, are a miniature breed of fox that were first discovered in the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. It is now known that, while hard to find, these creatures can be found in various kinds of forests and grasslands all over the world! Posas are incredibly small, usually no bigger than a toddler’s hand, but some are so tiny that they could sit on a thimble and still have ample room to stretch their legs. Their gossamer wings are strong enough to facilitate flight, and if you’re lucky, you might catch them riding the breeze on a nice day. Leposas make their homes in trees, bushes, burrows, and occasionally flower buds. They are constantly on the move, so a den doesn’t need to be permanent as long as it shelters the posa from wind and rain. A wild posa can live for up to 100 years, and it is possible that with good care they can live even longer in captivity.

❖ -- ＲＵＬＥＳ --❖

• Leposas are a closed species. You may not make your own unless you purchase a custom from the shop.
  
• Leposas may not be sold for art, currency, or anything outside of the species.
• Please be respectful to other members of the leposa community. Any harassment, bullying, etc will not be tolerated and may result in an immediate ban in extreme cases.
• You may re-color your leposa’s lines and add any removable accessories or items without getting approval. Anything outside of this must be approved by a staff member.
• You may assign your leposa any gender or sexuality, and this may be changed at any time. There is no need to get approval for such changes.
• If you win a rare leposa in a main adopt competition, you must wait until two more rare comps pass before you can enter for another rare leposa. This same rule applies to legendary leposas as well.
• Incestual relationships are not allowed.
• For the time being, Off-Oekaki leposas are not allowed.
• There is no limit to how many leposas you can own.

❖ -- ＴＲＡＤＩＮＧ -- ❖

• You may only trade leposas for other leposas or leposa items. No out-of-species trades are allowed.
• You may trade any combination of leposas and items for any other combination of leposas and items. Just make sure both partners are happy. (ex: standard leposa + common trait item for a common leposa)
• After a trade is completed, both users must wait 3 weeks before they may trade again.
• One user involved in the trade must submit a form in the archive update thread.
• A leposa must be owned for a week before it may be traded.
  
  • If you are the first person to own a leposa from a main adopt or a nursery batch, you must wait two weeks.
    This only applies to the first owner of main adopt/nursery batch leposas as a way to prevent entries and breeding simply to trade them off.
• There is no ownership time limit for items.
• You may sell items for an equal or lesser value than what you bought them.

• How do I adopt a leposa?
  
  Simply click on one of the colored-in posts beneath the main oekaki to see the competition for that leposa. Artists may hold any sort of competition, such as a naming comp, raffle, art or writing comp, etc. If you’d rather not hunt through the oekaki posts, feel free to check the archives for open competitions.

Sometimes a competition has multiple good entries, and while not everyone can win the leposa, the artist can give out an HM to the others who they felt put in a lot of effort. Collect enough of them, and you can exchange your HMs for a semi-custom leposa. Simply PM an artist who is open for HM designs with links to all HMs won in order to claim your custom.

• 5 for unlimited standard
  
• 10 for 1 common + 2 under
  
• 15 for 1 uncommon + 2 under
• 20 for 1 rare + 2 under
• 25 for 2 rare + 2 under OR 1 rare + unlimited under

Staff will receive one custom slot each month if active. These can be combined to make greater rarity customs slots or items.
Activity is based on role:

• Artist: 2 adopts per month
  
  May also do various other jobs (nursery, growths, etc)
• Nursery Artists: 1 batch per month
• HM Artists: 2 customs per month
• Mods: generally being active/answering questions, this is determined on a case-by-case basis
