Dogo de Detroit
A dog of sheer muscle, Dogo de Detroit was created in Detroit, Michigan to accommodate the needs of game breeders. The Dogo de Detroit is a very recent and powerful breed, bred for it's strength, muscle, persistence, confidence, and courage. The goal of the breed was to be superior to the game bred pits already being used and running around the streets. The Dogo de Detroit makes for an excellent around the clock watch dog, easily trainable, and a true pleaser. The dog comes with a natural instinct to protect its owners, going as far to risk its own life. The Dogo de Detroit is also a wonderful family dog when socialized properly. Due to it's easy trainability, the Dogo de Detroit can be ordered to be alert on command and remain friendly and playful at other times.
The Dogo de Detroit goes by a variety of other names:
Dog of Detroit
Detroit Dog
Detroit Fighting Dog
Michigan Molosser
Detroit Mastiff
Michigan Mastiff
King of Detroit
A true bull breed, the dog has it's set standards which are heavily based off the American Staffordshire Terrier and the Dogo Argentino.
Males:
24-29in.
70-120lbs
Females:
22-27in.
65-110lbs
The Dogo de Detroit has some variations available here on Chicken Smoothie. Some of these traits are more rare than others. However, they are not worth more overall. This is due to the fact that most variations are based upon cropped ears and docked tails, which can be requested from the owner of a Dogo de Detroit for a small fee.
All owned Dogo de Detroit's will have their owner's name placed in the bottom right hand corner.
My signature is small and must NOT be removed under any circumstances. These are allowed to be used off site. I would prefer to have a link back so others can see them as well!
The list for coloration rarities has yet to be decided and posted. This will be up as soon as possible.
