I can't wait until next spring, when I can actually start conditioning Spade. I'm used to seeing super conditioned APBTs, so she's a fatty to me, but I'm really excited to see what she looks like all trim and slim!
Her now:
I would love to show an APBT, but meh Spade has far too many faults and I wouldn't get far with her anyways. I love her still!
The only thing that I don't like about show APBTs is that they have most of the true APBT traits bred out of them in favor of prettiness. I'd take a faulty driven and intense pit over a pretty cur anyday haha.
Yeah she use to be a beef cake! I just got moved into our new place so im putting the spring pole back up today. Hoping to get her back into shape especially since the temps will be dropping!
Omg is she solid black?? I love all black pits! How are you going to condition her? I just used spring pole and flirt pole for molly, but I always wanted to get a treadmill.
Ive only seen a few APBT showings on YT and I didnt really think to much of it. I seen Bully shows that put more effort into judging a dog. But to me the APBT isnt a show-y breed lol there a working breed and if I was to judge a dog I would want to see that dog work, I want to see the drive and the passion it has to preform. Along with ofcourse conformation, I want to see it stroll around the ring alert and aware.

Same! I just prefer a Pit that can work. I dont care if its pretty as long as the dog has the drive and desire to do what I set it out to do then im good! Which I always thought Molly had a beautiful gait and build I always wanted to get her looked at by a judge just to get feed back on her overall conformation. She is spayed so I couldnt enter a show anyways but I just always loved how she looks, granted she was the runt.
<3 I do think her tail is a little short though.
On the other hand Envy's mom was shown for the first time in FL about a month ago and took 1st place 3 different times! So future looks bright on that end!
