Name: Luna
Gender: female
Her Change:
Luna isn't too much of a fan of her change. She was born with it, and believes that others will hate her because of her change. She wants other kalons to like her, and she thinks they might think she's weird because of it. She was born on a dark starry night, during a lunar eclipse, so her parents first saw her in her night appearance. They believed she was beautiful and called her Luna after the moon that seemed to interest the small child. That morning though, her dark pelt had turned yellow and the moon on her tail turned bright and sunny. Her parents, shocked to see a new kit, and not realizing she was their own, left the young kit outside. Little Luna had pleaded at the doorstep, though her parents were grieving over their missing child. As the sun rise, her pelt slowly shifts from darkness to light, moon to sun, starting at her back paws. Every moon rise, her sun shine pelt shifts to the color of dreams and fireflies.
Her Power:If the change doesn't make her different enough, her powers certainly do. Luna was given the power of mind reading. She believes it to be from the moon (or maybe just her parents, but being from the moon seems more interesting to her). She remembers being a small kit, and hearing voices in her head and having thoughts that weren't her own. Luna knew things about other kalons that no one else knew. She'd learned not to mention these things though, because once she did, and lost an oppurtunity of friends. She hears things she might not have wanted to hear, and knows how others think of her, and that makes her feel even more different.
Personality:I suppose this has been said a lot, but one word to describe Luna is different. She doesn't fit in around the other kalons, even more than others. She is eccentric in the way she talks, the ways she dresses, her powers, and so many more traits. Luna has low self esteem, and feels that if she doesn't talk, she can never say anything wrong. So she keeps her words few, though her thoughts many. Her brain is always full of thoughts, whether they be her own or others. She often has a hard time distinguishing her own thoughts from kalons she's around. Luna is also sweet and kind. She prefers to help others who are not kalons though, such as forest creatures, because she feels more comfortable around them. They don't give off as much thoughts, so she can relax easier. Without her parents, Luna lives in semi isolation. She keeps distance from other kalons, living in forests by herself. She's too scared to meet others and be turned away because of who she is. Whether this would happen actually, she might never know. But, in her mind, she would rather not take the risk. Luna dislikes being wrong. She can't admit whenever something she did or said was incorrect, and will insist that she was correct. Luna often talks to her forest friends. She's not sure if the can understand her or not, but she does it anyways. She is also somewhat overly honest. Often telling the whole truth, usually when it unnecessary. She is easily scared, and prefers to stay on her own, away from others.

A Little Story
I don't remember much from before I isolated myself from all other kalons. But I do remember one upsetting moment, of which I rarely talk about. I was small, still a kit. And it was daytime, so my pelt glowed like the sun above me. I had my hair tied up like it often is during the hot summer days. I was in a small town, and many kits about my age were playing together. I went over to one of the groups. The three kits all turned towards me, and voices began rushing into my head.
Who is she? One of their head's wondered.
Why is she looking at us? Another one thought, squinting her eyes suspiciously.
Does she want something? The third wondered.
Cause I don't have anything, the third kalon's brain continued. I tilted my head, my long ears nearly touching the ground. The second kit stepped forward. "Who are you?" she said, a little rudely, in my opinion. I stared for a second. "M-my name is Luna," I muttered, looking down at my paws. Their brains all had variations of the thought
can't she talk? I raised my head, trying not to react to that comment. "Why haven't I seen you before?" the second kalon hissed, while at the same time the third kalon blurted, "What do you want?" I blinked. I tried to muster the loudest voice I could, but it sounded more like I was about to cry. "I-I don't live around here," I said, "And I don't want anything, just to maybe...play with you?" The three kits glanced at one another, as if they were all having the same thoughts. Which, of course, they were. The first one's brain was the kindest, with various thoughts similar to,
But we don't even know her. What if she's super annoying. Well, she already is kinda annoying me, with that small voice. And the second's was very hostile, and the third was more curious. But in the end, they made sure I left them alone, and I went back to the forest, to wait for my pelt of night to creep up my hind legs.
