Workshop One - Day One Exercise
Decided to do Lupita! since she's my least developed kalon, I think, for lack of time.
My others are already fully fleshed out while she has some holes.
What is your Kalon’s first, middle, and last name (if they have one)?
Lupita Camila Romero
Does your Kalon have a human appearance as well? If so, what do they look like?
She doesn't have one drawn, but as a human she is latino (With roots in chile). She's tanned with black hair that she usually keeps tied back in a messy ponytail. She's of average height, 5'5 or so, and of average weight. She does a lot of running around but also likes her sweets so it balances her weight to a median for her size. She has deep purple eyes, and she's usually wearing casual-formal clothes for work. Outside of work, she's okay with sweatpants and a tanktop to lounge around her home in.
Does you Kalon have any family members? If so, blood related or adopted?
She has no family of note! Most of her family she grew rather distant from after college. She followed her career as a maritime museum curator and lost touch with her family. (She was an adopt and has no children so she doesnt have any made-family haha).
Who is your Kalon the closest too? Why?
She's closest to her boyfriend,Spectre. She enjoys sharing stories and all her findings with him. She tends to get carried away and ramble for hours but he doesn't seem to mind since he knows its her passion and what really matters to her.
What sort of occupation does your Kalon have? Do they enjoy it?
She is a curator at a museum for naval history! She loves this job as it lets her follow things she finds fascinating. She is entranced by modern myth- above all her largest intrigue is in the myth and theories of the Bermuda triangle, a legend she hopes to solve one day. With her job she sometimes even gets to come into contact with parts and ships salvaged from that area and that makes her particularly giddy with excitement.
List some of your Kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why.
She likes the ocean, she finds it deep,brooding, fascinating. Its a whole world out there that hasn't been fully explored,theres so much mystery to be had and discovered that mankind has barely scratched the surface of.
She loves myth and lore, and learning about the 'scary things in the dark' of modern times. Sure-old legends of monsters are cool too, but ufo sightings, conspiracies, and other myths created by people in her own times are even more neat since they're relatable, and theres actually something she feels she can do to prove or disprove their existence.
She likes her culture, though she's not in Chile anymore (Where she was born) she still enjoys reminiscing on the culture she left behind.Whether its listening to music from her home, or cultural foods her mother taught her to cook back in the day every once in a while. (Though cooking is something she struggles to find time for, she works a lot and fast food or quick meals is more frequent.)
She doesn't like slackers. She feels that those who don't put in effort aren't worth hers. She worked hard to get good grades and a job she loves and enjoys-why shouldn't they? If they want to earn her respect, they have to put in the work. She's willing to be forgiving in some situations but she's not going to go out of her way to lower her expectations for someone just because they're lazy.
She also loathes formal functions. She doesn't mind being polite and wearing formal clothes, but she doesn't care much for the crowd. She finds businessmen and other uptight high-class to only be a waste of her time. She finds them too judgemental and she often feels dread being around them because she feels watched for her every move. Most of them grew up in such an environment, but she did not.
What is your Kalons biggest weakness and strength?
Lupita's greatest weakness is her obsession in her work. She is entirely absorbed in that life, everything she does typically has that ulterior motive of 'work'. Going out for lunch? She'll have to call that associate in france on the way. Nice evening at home alone? She'll go searching for new museum pieces on the internet. She's a workaholic who has a great deal of difficulty knowing when to put down her phone, put down the pen, and just relax. Her doctors say she'll give herself a heart attack with all the anxiety she puts herself through stressing over work constantly. She puts work above her own wellbeing.
Her strength, in relation- is her ability to dedicate herself to something so fully. Once something has entered her mind and heart, she's loyal to the end. She will never betray the trust of those she holds dear and will give 200% to ensure she never fails them or their faith in her. She will always give her all, and her actions are always genuine. She's not going to give you a lot of nonsense, she'll tell you whats on her mind at all times.

Prompt:
Lupita is a kalon in love with her career. She is a hard worker who spends a majority of her time invested in work and independently studying modern myth and conspiracy because its her personal favorite hobby. She is a very passionate individual, and will fight with determination for her beliefs. When first met, she seems rather aloof and distracted. She'll treat everyone with respect at first meeting, until they give her a reason to trust them or eye them with caution. She's a great deal effected by first impressions. If you goof up meeting her she won't forget it quickly. As a career woman, she finds most of her acquaintances are similar. She didn't have a whole lot of friends otherwise and her family was disconnected from her, until she met Spectre and they began dating. Since then, she has lightened up a little and taken more days off work in order to spend with him.
She keeps up walls to those around her, and an air of professionalism even in casual. Though there are difficulties in getting her to open up, she is able to wind down! She has a great sense of humor and though she finds her laugh to be rather embarrassing she's not afraid to share her smile when she hears a good story or joke. She's confident in herself and outspoken, but tries to avoid opinion and bias in most situations. Actually asking her for her thoughts on a topic usually ends up in a whirlwind of facts and sources rather than her opinion. The more she opens up to you, the more of a goofball she becomes. She loves cooking and will happily cook a meal for anyone allowing her to, she likes to sing and can't seem to cook or clean without singing into the spatula or the mop. She enjoys conspiracies- but she is very intelligent and obsesses over legitimate fact. She enjoys researching them to disprove most of them, she is far from paranoid enough to believe most of them.
Lupita does struggle to understand at times that she needs to pay more attention to herself in her life. She eats the bare minimum, hardly has time for legitimate exercise, and doesn't give herself time to rest and relax. She often runs on 5 hours of sleep or less after long nights sitting and working on paperwork. She's strong willed and will keep pushing herself until her body gives out on her.
She may be professional, but she doesn't really like the high class lifestyle. She's somewhere in the upper middle class herself, but has to deal with patrons of the upper class many times in her museum. She finds them snobbish and annoying. She does acknowledge that she must seem that way to those below her in social class as well, and she does seek to change this, but this is something she is not capable of changing on her own because she simply doesn't know how. She hasn't had a friend in a long time to teach her how to fit in with normal people outside of work, until she met her boyfriend Spectre, who is slowly helping her open up and ditch work for just a while.
Logical and reasoning, she is open minded to things she doesn't understand and is adaptable and willing to change herself in the search to become a better person. She regrets losing touch with her family and those she held dear to her in her past before work took over her life, but she has hope for the future and all things to come.
