Eyes glinting in the dark, Sagestar was tense but angry. Beside him were Swanfoot and Eagleclaw, the most senior warriors in his clan. "Sagestar, you may want to reconsider..." murmured Eagleclaw." Is it really worth losing our allies over the past?" The brown warrior was simply ignored by her leader, who instead turned to Swanfoot. "Start the battle." He ordered the white cat."Gladly..." cooed Swanfoot, silently giving the signal. Lithe bodies rippled over the Echoclan border, their paws drumming on the ground. Sagestar had bought Eagleclaw, Swanfoot, Badgertail, Firefang, Pebbleclaw, Bleakpelt, Rippedear and Muddapple. Extra cats and Russetleaf were waiting, tucked away in the bushes.

~Many Voices Crying Out As One~

Blazefur smiled, hurrying over to join Cloudwatcher. "Hey, how are you?" He cooed. The ginger tom froze when he heard rustling in the undergrowth and an unfamiliar scent. "Tumbleclan!" He gasped, shooting a scared look at Cloudwatcher. He nudged her back towards Obsidianclan. "Go! Now!" He mewed, worried that she would get hurt before turning and racing towards Echoclan's camp to warn his Clan.

"This is the worst possible timing!" Squirrelstar shrieked. Blazefur had arrived at camp moments before and had stated that a patrol of Tumbleclan cats was in their territory at the same time that Bayfur had started kitting. "Get the apprentices and their mentors from the training hollow, now!" She shouted to Stagstep. Stagstep nodded and hurried off to retrieve them.

Every other available warrior was already in the clearing, their claws unsheathed.

"Hi!" Sedgetail brightened when she saw the tom, hurrying forward to nuzzle him affectionately. The silver tabby shook her head. "You don't need to apologize to me. Sagestar's declaration of war just startled me, that's all." Sedgetail tilted her head, confusion flashing in her eyes. "A little loose-minded?" She echoed as if prompting him to continue. She didn't give him a chance to answer before speaking again, "Are you going to be in the battle?"

"I'm Juniperfoot. Nice to meet you guys," The she-cat replied. Her gaze flicked to Dustpaw, noting his hostility. "I have an apprentice too, Sunpaw. He's about a moon or so younger than you. You might meet him at the next gathering." Juniperfoot told him. "Sunpaw's not too chatty but he's very smart and kind. His brother is the more talkative of the pair." She smiled, proud of her clan. When she'd joined, the clan had been tiny but now Caveclan had grown stronger. And the clan would only to grow.

Lilystem narrowed her eyes as Chiceclaw whispered into her ear, "They're allies. Brookclan I think?" As he'd been part of Caveclan longer than Lilystem, he'd had more of a chance to explore the territory and find the borders. Lilystem acknowledged his words with a brief nod and focused on the two Brookclan cats curiously. "Yes. I'm Lilystem and this is Chiveclaw." She introduced them. "Your from Brookclan?"

Sheepclaw & Barleystorm

The pair of cats walked in relative silence; only the crunching of snow could be heard. Despite this, Sheepclaw could visibly tell how much more relaxed Barleystorm seemed since they left camp. "Long day?" She asked empathetically. "You could say that!" The queen exclaimed, exasperated. "Lizardstream was kind enough to watch them for me today; I honestly don't know how she does it." Silently laughing, the pretty deputy suddenly turned her head when she scented a Leafclan border patrol coming. "Hey, I thought I saw a rabbit over there. I'll be right back." Albeit a lame excuse, the queen bought it and told her clan-mate that she would then patrol in the opposite direction and they'd meet up later. More than enthusiastic, Sheepclaw watched her friend leave and then hid behind a nearby tree for she easily blended in with her white fur.

freckleheart gave a small chuckle and shook his head. "if you need help, i can help you catch that rabbit." he offered, his tail swaying behind him. "um, sweetpaw?" he spoke, dropping his gaze to his paws. he shifted his paws slightly, ears tilted back against his head. "would you do me the honor of becoming my mate?" he questioned, slowly lifting his gaze to look at the cute she-cat.

before cloudwatcher could respond, they both caught the scent of tumbleclan. her eyes widened in surprise - another attack? feeling blazefur nudge her, she took a small step back. "i'll go tell chestnutstar, and we'll come help! please be careful, blazefur!" the she-cat shouted after the tom before turning toward her territory and running to her clan. once she reached chestnutstar who was talking to bristleclaw, she released a few short breaths. "tumbleclan.. they are attacking.. echoclan." she panted, watching as chestnutstar hissed and cursed under her breath. she wanted to be quick and return to blazefur to help him and make sure he was okay.

chestnutstar gazed over at cloudwatcher as the she-cat ran to her and told her what was happening - tumbleclan was attacking. hissing and cursing under her breath, she went to the leader's rock to speak to her clan. "tumbleclan has made an attack on our ally clan, echoclan! all cats who know how to fight, join me." her voice boomed, watching as her clan gathered together. noticing dustpaw gathering with the rest, she huffed and hopped off her rock to approach him. "not you. you're going to get yourself killed. your mentor hasn't taught you how to fight yet." she hissed at her offspring who flattened his ears and sulked back to his siblings. "obsidianclan, with me!" she spoke before running to aid their ally clan, echoclan. she was frustrated with tumbleclan for attacking. this was the second attack on their ally clan.

SweetPaw's eyes widened, her jaw dropping slightly open in euphoric shock, "Oh, FreckleHeart..." She trailed off, trying to form the words. Then she rushed forward, burring her face in his chest, "Yes! Oh, I never thought ask, but yes!"

As the two toms made their way to the southern border, Ashenclaw noticed how beautiful the fresh snow appeared with the morning sunlight upon it, and the few trees that were scattered across the field were sparkling with it as well. He smiled, liking this leaf-bare. "Hey, did you hear that?" Webfang whispered, stopping in his tracks and pointing with his nose to where he had heard the sound. Ashenclaw stood still, listening carefully for what the other warrior had heard. Rustling sounded in some bushes not too far away. The deputy flicked his tail and began creeping toward the area, signalling for Webfang to follow. Once they were a few fox-lengths away, Ashenclaw paused. Wait.... "Sheepclaw?"

Trying to casually act as if she totally hadn't been hiding in wait before they got there, Sheepclaw responded with, "Ashenclaw? It's so nice to see you!" In the presence of another cat, the female deputy tried to keep her excitement in check. Turning to his companion, she asked curiously, "Who are you? I saw you at the gathering but we never got the chance to talk. I'm Sheepclaw, deputy of Asterclan." The only thing she really wanted to do was talk with Ashenclaw, but she thought that might be rude and tried to include his friend in the conversation as well.

(Barleystorm is open for whomever crosses her path & I also have a hunting patrol out.)

Ashenclaw could hardly contain his excitement, but Webfang felt a bit awkward since the other two apparently knew each other already. "I'm Webfang, a LeafClan warrior. It's nice to make your acquaintance." He then turned to Ashenclaw. "I'll continue patrolling. We'll meet back at camp, just don't be too long," the warrior said, eager to leave since he would probably be left as the third friend in the conversation. He did wonder though, as he walked away, if he should have stayed. He shook his head. Ashenclaw's loyal to LeafClan. He's not going to make any stupid decisions. Glad to have Webfang out of the way, Ashenclaw turned back to the pretty she-cat. "So, uh..." Great StarClan, get it together, Ashenclaw! Quickly, he cleared his throat and started again more confidently, "So, have you been, Sheepclaw?"

a big smile appeared on freckleheart's face when the she-cat accepted the proposal. "you're going to be a wonderful mate." he purred softly, nuzzling the she-cat. [ shall they walk off into the forest and fade to black? ]
