▴ Babusagi are a Closed Species. Outside creation is prohibited. You can only obtain a Babusagi by adopting through this main page, winning a Custom Slot or purchasing a Make-Your-Own Slot
▴ Trading Babusagi for other Babusagi or other original characters is allowed as long as Livvyah has been notified. Reselling Babusagi for any real life currency is prohibited.
▴ Using Babusagi that are not yours without explicit permission is prohibited.
▴ At the moment you can have no more than 14 Babusagi in your possession.
▴ Babusagi can be roleplay characters and/or fursonas, but only in PG-13 settings.
▴ DO NOT harass staff members about due dates. They are people with lives and if life can keep you away from CS, it can keep them too. Reminders can be sent if a month passes with no explanation. Harassment of any kind on any official Babusagi outlet (Adoptions, The Fanclub, The Roleplay, Staff Streams, The Official Ask Box, etc.) is prohibited and can end in a strike. Harassment over PM when evidence is provided may also lead to a strike when relevant.
▴ Adoption entries with WIP left on them count as unfinished so be careful!
▴ With the exclusion of unlimited staff customs, all Babusagi designs must be approved by Livvyah. This includes Babusagi from artist search entries.
▴ Babusagi kits must be homed within a month of the breeding, afterwards they will count towards the owner(s) limits until a fate is properly given.

▴ Violation of any of these rules will result in a strike. After three strikes all of a user's Babusagi will be isolated and they will not be allowed to participate in the community anymore. This includes being unable to breed, use items, enter competitions or readoptions, or participate in events. Banned users are able to keep all of their Babusagi if they wish, they can also surrender them back to the staff to be readopted in official competition.

To keep track of how special your BABUSAGI
you just need our rarity point system! Each
trait is assigned a point amount on how rare
it is and the total number of points your
BABUSAGI has determines its rarity!

"how do rarities on multiples of things work?"
It works differently depending on the trait! For extra eyes it's +4 points per eye but
there is no extra change for all the eyes being different colors. For extra tails it's +4
per extra tail and + however many points the tail is worth. So a Babusagi with two
tails that are both tassels it would be +4 +2 +2 = 8 pts. On a packing list that would
be ★▴▴ This stands true for any tail amount and combination. The same would
apply to extra ears! Horns you would just add +4 for each set. Single horns have the
same value.

"how does rarity on the floating boba work?"
Standard floating boba has no rarity, even in combination with other bubbles. When the
floating boba matches the other boba it also has no rarity, so if the regular bubbles are
shaped like stars, then the floating boba can be shaped like a star for no points. When
the floating boba is different from the other boba/bubbles and isn't a standard one
color with a round shape. Then you apply the appropriate rarity.

NEW: can my babu's liquid/eyes/hair/magic change with emotions/have alternate states?
Sorry but no, this allows too much freedom on the part of the owner to decide what a Babusagi looks like at any given time.
The only thing that can have alternate states as a mutation is shells which can be heat changing.

"important update for MYOs:"
modified shell, anti-grav filling and additional pack of boba do not count as true
mutations for MYO, so only their normal rarities apply

Also included with each Babusagi is a unique commemorative cup!

Free pixel will not always be done right away, but it will be done.

Do you want a Babusagi tailored to you?
Through our adoption rewards system you can earn a custom Babusagi!
If you do well on an adoption tryout an artist can give you an honorable mention!

After 5 honorable mentions you can make a standard custom.
All honorable mentions after the first 5 are worth 2 points and can be spent on more expensive edits.

All of the edits have to be bought at the same time as the custom, not after.

So if you have 8 honorable mentions you could get:

● A Babusagi with unlimited standard edits and one rare edit
● A Babusagi with unlimited standard edits and two uncommon edits
● A Babusagi with unlimited standard edits and three common edit

"how can i get a babusagi?"
babusagi are a closed species, outside creation is prohibited. you can only obtain a babusagi by adopting through the main page, winning a custom slot, or purchasing a Make-Your-Own slot.

"am i allowed to change the appearance of my babusagi?"
making gijinkas, adding accessories, and some design simplifications are allowed, complete overhauls are not. Cutting given hair to be a shorter length is allowed.
"how many babusagi am i allowed to have?"
at the moment you can have no more than 14 Babusagi in your possession. this limit will probably change over time. customs no longer count towards this limit. a maximum of 2 people can co-own a Babusagi, but it will count towards both of their limits and breeding agreements/potion use statements have to come from both owners.
"what happens if I somehow go over the babusagi limit?"
If you hit 14 or more Babusagis all forms, including breeding tickets and/or competition entries, become voided until you are back under. You can trade when at limit but you cannot be gifted to, this includes unofficial adoptions.

"what does prettying up mean?"
prettying up your form is just when you add formatting, this can be coloring the text, putting gifs and pixels on your form, or more!

"what are extras?"
extras are anything the artist didn't ask for! so writing or art that aren't part of the form. some artists may limit how many and what kind of extras you can do so pay attention!

"what is a runner up (RU)?"
basically 2nd and 3rd place! they will still get a Babusagi somehow related to the adopt. there are not always two RU's, sometimes there are more!

"what is an honourable mention (HM)?"
honorable mentions are given out when an artist was close to picking your form but you didn't quite make it, get enough HM's to win a custom Babusagi!

"what is the difference between a custom and a MYO?"
a custom isn't drawn or designed by you, you can make choices on the design but ultimately a staff artist has full control. however you are allowed to ask for tweaks and edits on them as long as they don't change a trait's rarity.
a MYO (Make Your Own) is where you get full control over the design and can draw it yourself! MYOs are tiered and have rarity limits.

"what happens to the winner?"
they now own the rights to this character!

"what happens to all the art that was drawn for a competition?"
the winner gets to keep it unless the artist says they don't want them to use it!

"how big is a Babusagi?"
about the size and weight of a small bag of baking chocolate chips.

"where do Babusagi come from? are there babies?"
for information on where Babusagi come from check out the Breeding Gacha thread!

"how many times can my babusagi breed with other babusagi?
each babusagi has 5 breeding slots, but each slot must be used at least one month apart!

"is there a list of all babusagi that exist right now?"
yes! there is a spreadsheet here! it is maintained by kyubiical and is separate from the archive!

when claiming an Artist Search Babusagi, proof of permission and relevant item ownership must be provided.

"how do I use a potion?"
Just ask me permission and give proof that you have it and then you can use it on any existing Babusagi of yours!

"can items be used on customs/myos?"
Yep! Just list them on your custom's form or in your MYO's description. They can also be used after creation like on any other Babusagi.

"can I gift/trade my items?"
Sure! Make sure to let Enchanted know!

"how do dice gummies work?"
So if you look at the rolling guide you'll see that there are ranges of numbers that decide things! Here's one for example:

●d10 - Uncommon traits: 1-3 the trait is lost. 4-7 keeps it. 8-9 it can be switched out with another uncommon trait. 10 a rare trait takes its place.

So lets say I roll this and your kit gets a 3, they lost the trait! What a shame, but! If you give me a Dice Gummy on your form I'll add one point, making it a 4 and keeping the trait!
You can only use up to two gummies in a breeding and they only work on one category of roll, but they will work for all the kits you have! Both gummies can also be used on one stat for a +2. There isn't a benefit for going over the max and the gummies have to be supplied on the form and can't be added later.
So if you give it to me and say you want it used for parent 1's sparkling water it'll work out like this:

Kit 1: 2 + 1 = 3, No sparkling water
Kit 2: 3 + 1 = 4, sparkling water stays
Kit 3: 8 + 1 = 9, it's soda now
Kit 4: 10 + 1 = 10, it's already maxed, it still only becomes soda

"what can butterscotch change?"
It can swap any standard traits on the same spot for each other! So nubby ears for floppy ears, curly tail for short tail, milk tea for regular tea, etc. It however can't swap baldness for hair, you still need a kiwi potion for that.

"how do I use a multiberry pop?"
You add it onto the breeding of your choice and then specify a color, or colors, you want added to the breeding to add diversity. Maximum 3 colors may be introduced. Only one multiberry pop may be used per breeding.

"how does a bon bon work?"
When added onto a breeding form it makes sure at least two kits are produced. If four kits are rolled the bon bon is refunded.

"how do I get an item?"
They can be given out during events or if an artist feels like you did an awesome job they can give them out on regular adopts!
This will only happen for high difficulty contests though (impress mes, art contests, story contests, etc.) and cannot be given out on things like CYOPs or gif contests. We want to reward contests that take a lot of work!
