Kinda simple but I actually really like how it turned out ^^

So, for this one tell me about their best friend and what they do together to get through the heat of summer. You have 800 words and two art pieces. good luck!!

Dipinto and Terram have been best friends since they were Visclings, they hung out almost everyday of every year! Their favorite days to hang out were the warm summer days. They always had fun in the summer and still do! Everyday they always got their acrylic paints and painted the sidewalks down their streets- the sidewalks?? Yes the sidewalks, they always paint odd creatures, cool animals, amazing views- almost anything you can think of! No one ever gets mad at them, in fact they love it when they paint the sidewalks! Every year they paint over what they painted the last, but so they don't forget what they did in the past years they take pictures of it before they paint another coat over.
The first year when they started doing it which was about eight years ago, everyone was very impressed! Some were angry too, not everyone wanted the sidewalk to be covered in paint, so they reported them to the police. It wasn't such a big deal so they didn't get in trouble, but the cops said that they shouldn't paint in some areas. So they didn't, but still most of the streets were covered in amazing paintings! Later that summer a Viscet came to their doors- he told them how he and his band were doing a parade downtown in a week, he asked them if they could paint to sidewalk for him! They were a bit iffy on it since school was starting soon- but once he told them he'd pay them, it was a yes! For the next weekthey painted the sidewalks all the way down the road, on some streets, on other streets, they painted almost the whole city! Everyone loved it, the painting, the parade, everything was a success! Every year they have been doing the same thing, even the same parade has done the same things! It never gets old. Now that they are older people commission them to paint their walls, ceilings, floors, and sidewalks, it's practically a full-time summer job now! They've gotten other friends to join in too sometimes.

Their best painting they've ever done was a huge squid attacking a city, it was one of their paintings they did for the parade. Everyone took pictures of it- and even with it! It was a big hit in the parade, and there seemed to be big crowds surrounding it? It was amazing. They never knew that their art would get so many compliments! They were always happy when someone complimented their art.

This summer they decided to do something big! This year they were going to paint a whole entire house: inside and out. So they bought an old abandoned building in the city and painted everything. Once it was done they had an open house for it, and lots and lots of Viscets came to see it, it was technically house flipping, during the open house it was open for offers- they expected nothing big since it was just a small abandoned house with crazy paintings all over it- but they were wrong! Soon before they were going to leave to go home someone came to them with an offer " Is this house still open for offers? " she said " Yep! " they answered- " I'll buy it for $655,000.00 " they gasped " Wow really? " and soon enough it was paid for.

They now know they aren't the only ones who appreciate their own hobby- almost everyone in the town does! Every summer they will keep doing this for ever and ever!

Art piece 1: Fishy Surprise By: Me


Abyss is the alpha of their pack and a demon. However he is very mischievous and loyal. Ether and Abyss share a love of pranks and strategy. During the Summer, the partners in crime can often be found scheming and coming up with pranks while eating ice-cream. Another thing they love about Summer. Two of their most famous pranks have been referred to as "Fishy Surprise" and "Operation make Shilo scream". In Fishy surprise the two of them snuck out in the middle of the night to steal a hammerhead shark from the aquarium. Upon obtaining this shark they released it into the pool at home. When their neighbors came over to swim it was quite the surprise. There was a lot of screaming that ended with sirens blaring as the police tracked them down. Luckily, the two managed to lose them in the forest surrounding the shared home of their pack.


Art piece 2: Operation make Shilo scream By: Me


Operation make Shilo scream is exactly as it is named. Shilo is the second in command of their pack and is the definition of calm and composed. He rarely shows emotion and is borderline OCD about keeping order, so Abyss and Ether figured he needed to loosen up. The best way to do that? Drive him crazy. They even managed to convince Shilo's mate Ēna to join in their fun. So as to how they went about this operation, it occurred in 3 stages. Phase 1 was called "Sound". In this stage every time someone opened a door one of the three accomplices would make a shrill noise while hiding. When Shilo would question about it to the other two present, they would act like they had heard nothing and that it was all in his head. This lasted for one week before they stopped and began Phase 2. This Phase was called "Leak". It began with Abyss poking a small hole in the roof. Upon discovering it, Shilo tried to fix it. A day after he fixed the leak, Abyss created another, which Shilo had to fix. This pattern continued for another week and they went through a total of 21 leaks. An average of 3 per day. Phase 3 began with a combination of both Phase 1 and Phase 2. Ether returned to making noises that they pretended no one else heard, while Abyss created leaks in the roof. This lasted for 3 days. By the end of the Phase Shilo was at his wits end. To finish him off the three troublemakers hit one final blow over dinner. Halfway through the meal they all paused, widened their eyes to the max, and starred at Shilo for a solid 5 minutes to freak him out. By the end of the 4th minute, Shilo was rapidly glancing at them and his eye was twitching in annoyance. Finally he exploded. "WHAT?!? What could you possibly want?!?!" He yelled slamming his fist into the table. He was breathing heavily and shaking with suppressed frustration and annoyance. Abyss, and Ether bursted out laughing and high-fiving each other, while Ēna smirked quietly. Looking at the tree of them, Shilo quickly put the pieces together and realized that the past 3 weeks had been one big prank. Groaning he stalked off somewhere with an "Idiots!" thrown over his shoulder. This only made them laugh harder. Eventually they apologized and made it up to him, but the partners in crime were very pleased with themselves, and began to dream of even more complex pranks to pull.

Due to the already late end date I do not feel comfortable extending it by a week this early in the competition and by only one persons request. Near the end if required and asked of by more people I can extend it by a few days or so, but as of now I am not comfortable with extending it by that much.

Being very nomadic, Ross travels along the coasts a lot, trying not to stray from the equator to far. It was on his travels that he met Gale, who had a similar lifestyle to his. However, Gale was more adventurous than Ross. Gale braved the cooler weather away from the equator. He often spun tall tales of giant tortoises from islands to the west, penguins to the south, pure white bares to the north, an strange happenings to the east. Ross, meanwhile, had not yet been around the cape of South America, nor had he traveled the tundras of North America. He thought Gale made up the stories. So, Gale swore he'd show him all the things he found, and he did. On their travels together, every night, Gale would stop and sit in the sand to watch the sun set. Ross found it odd, but never bothered to ask what Gale was doing. As summer came around for the Southern Hemisphere, the days grew longer, and the sun seemed to never set. Gale and Ross hopped along ice flows to try and see what wonders there where to the south. However, a storm came, and blew them away. Gale said they should try again some other time. And so they continued, and as the sun set, Gale would stop and stare at it. They got to the islands Gale had mentioned, and they saw the giants he mentioned too. However, the pain drew to near to a finch nest, and they fled from the angry mother's furious pecking. As summer drew to a close in the south, the north was entering the summer heat. The pair braved the flocks of humans and their cameras, trying not to be captured. Eventually, they reached far north, and they caught a glimpse of a white bear before they had to flee the charge of another. They continued down the coast. There where less humans out now, but there were still a lot. Sometimes Gale would sit with some humans to watch the sun set, but none ever bothered him. Gale could tell summer was nearly over, so the pair rushed their journey. The reached the place of strange happenings, and saw and heard many strange things that they promised they would keep secret. When they were back where they started, the pair sat together and watched the sun set over the ocean.
