Sites that DO NOT allow off-site trading [Old thread]

Off-site trading to and from Horse Isle 2 is allowed, just not recommended, as I don't think off-site trading on any site is exactly recommended, Horse Isle 2 does not ban it. I have talked to an admin already. It is also stated in the rules under the letter "T" and then under"Trading Between Games" and "Trading On a Promise"

1] Trading between the Horse Isle games (Secret Land of Horses/HI1 and Legend of the Esrohs/HI2) is not recommended or endorsed by Horse Isle.
2] Trading between the games includes, but is not limited to, getting money on one game for a specified amount of money on the other game.
3] This is considered trading on a promise and not a good idea. Should you decide to do this anyway, realize Horse Isle will not return any stolen funds to you should someone not complete their end of the deal.
4] If a player does agree to trade with you and they do not follow through, please do file an abuse report, but again, you will not get your money, items or horses back.
5] Because this is trading on a promise and not advised, advertising is not allowed.

Trading on a Promise
1] Trading on a promise is when one player gives something to another under the promise that the other will do their half of the trade, or return the traded item, at a later time.
2] Horse Isle strongly advises to never do a trade on a promise. Always be sure a trade is fair in and of itself.
3] Trading on a promise includes, but is not limited to: trading between HI1 and HI2, boarding a horse with another player not using the leasing system, lending items/pets/money, trading an item/horse/money with the player promising to pay you back later, having a horse trained without using the in-game system.
4] If you do complete a trade on a promise and the other player does not fulfil their end of the deal, please file an Abuse Report immediately.
5] Horse Isle does not return items/horses/pets/money that have been stolen. So be very sure you are happy with a trade before you accept it."

Would it be allowed to trade items from another website (Animal Jam) for art that is done on Oekaki? I know we can trade AJ stuff for CS pets/items/C$, but I didn't know if art done here counted or not c:

Any AJ trading with CS is not allowed.

Well, I just thought, art doesn't actually belong to CS, and technically, neither does the Oekaki app - it's free to download and use on any website you want. I just felt like CS didn't really have control over it since the art nor the program are actually their's. Like I said, the app is free to anyone, it's not a CS thing, an obviously, the art belongs to the person who made it. So it's not exactly trading with CS.

Well, I just thought, art doesn't actually belong to CS, and technically, neither does the Oekaki app - it's free to download and use on any website you want. I just felt like CS didn't really have control over it since the art nor the program are actually their's. Like I said, the app is free to anyone, it's not a CS thing, an obviously, the art belongs to the person who made it. So it's not exactly trading with CS.

I feel that since you draw using oekaki onsite on CS, it belongs to CS therefore, CS is then hosting the image you drew (Similar to Imgur, Deviantart etc.) so CS rules still apply. If you use oekaki offsite on another site which doesn't have a ban on trading with AJ, it would then fall under that sites rules instead and in that case trading art for AJ would be acceptable if it is said so in that site's rules / tos.

You are right with what you say as the program itself CS holds little to no copyright over (Depending on the license and terms of service that was discussed for it to be allowed on site as a feature) but CS is the host site for the program, and so if you want to use the program on CS / through CS or with any affiliation of CS, you will need to abide by CS rules as the site is host to the program, therefore meaning no art using oekaki for AJ since all trading is banned.

It's like hosting an auction on CS for offsite trades and it has nothing to do with CS other than a soft mention of CS pets in trading, you are hosting something using CS forums and therefore your forum must come under CS rules. This would most likely be the same sort of case here as well. It seems safer for CS as well because it helps cover various loopholes which could be placed too.

To be safe, I wouldn't do it. I am sure you can use Oekaki offsite to draw instead of using it onsite. That's the best I can explain it to you, and hope this is how it works all around as well. It wouldn't make sense to allow for this to be allowed when all trading is off.

Also i saw that wizard101 is up on that list and you probably could add pirate101 too since they're similar games (Made by the same company)

Pokeheroes seems like Dragcave since you hatch monsters and it's the same concept, and off-site trading with Dragcave isn't allowed so I'm guessing it isn't allowed with Pokeheroes as well.

Just because a game has a similar concept doesn't mean it is not allowed ^.^ The ToS from the site should say whether something is allowed or not. If it doesn't mention anything, I would ask a moderator or admin.
