how do you keep them squares?

Try coloring the tiny fish first. The tiny one will automatically be pixelled right. That's what I do. When you feel like you're happy with what you have, duplicate the layers and size them up so they're the size of the big fish (: did that make sense?

yes thanks, how do you resizse the layer on chicken paint?

I think it's in the edit menu? Should say "transform" or something. I think :U
