I'm [slightly] obsessed with His Dark Materials, a wonderful YA fantasy series by Phillip Pullman. The main character, Lyra Belacqua is christened Lyra Silvertongue because of her ability to tell straight-faced lies that anyone will believe. I love her character and the series, and throughout my life I've been complimented on my use of rhetoric and cleverness. So, that's that.
