If you don't mind visual deaths, I'd suggest either Case Closed or Darker than Black. My sister suggests Code Grass as well, but there is mild language, and some scenes with a lack of clothes. But they're rare, and the plotline is excellent. I also strongly advise you finish death note. It's excellent.
