I never understood the logic of basic shooter games and the raging gamers on it

disagree. while not a big shooter fan, i am a fan of splatoon and i really enjoy what it brings and i also like tf2. i could possibly enjoy other shooters if i get over the learning curve of them, and i understand why people enjoy them. most people who dont play them rage as bad as people youll see online. its a type of game thats either extremely rewarding or makes you feel frustrated.

similarly, i never understood the hype of gacha games. especially if it costs real money most of the time to play the gacha.

disagree, mostly! i despise gacha games that are pay-to-win (cough genshin and hoyoverse cough cough) but i like rhythm games with gacha systems, and games with fair gacha rates in general. i've been really into project sekai lately, and i like how you can easily pull from the gacha just by playing the game, no money required. there's an aspect of luck and chance that i really enjoy, and it makes it more rewarding than games where you know exactly what you're going to get.
mostly, i just like the routine of playing regularly and saving up for pretty cards. i get why they can be frustrating, though.

the gen 5 MLP ponies look wayyy worse than the g4 ponies in terms of character design.

This is coming from someone who used to participate in cringe culture and then became even MORE cringe myself. honestly i couldn't agree more ? and i find it appalling that a thing such as "animation meme cringe compilation" even exists? Actually had to look it up and.... that's just..
Straight up bullying? bullying of artists , who on top are mostly younger folks trying to learn animating -a pretty tricky artform that requires a lot of skill and meticulous work- by themselves?
I would have expected "bullying is gross " to be common sense, basic etiquette and far from being an unpopular opinion, but judging by how many hits these """cringe""" compilations seem to have , its sadly still in trend. Pathetic.
Im pretty sure none of the people who try to get views by uploading vids that make fun of artists could actually pull ANY of the things these creative fellas do.
Its actually impressive as heck how many young people try out animating these days and who cares if it starts out wonky or if its for a silly meme , they're making art and having fun instead of buying substances so everyone should be grateful.
But on a hopeful note - the comments in the one i looked up were almost ALL some variation of "hey , don't be so harsh , xy was actually pretty good for a beginner they have potential" so maybe there's some hope :"D
