Just a little fun for when you have time to kill

I've been told my sense of style is "unique." It's a combination of gothic, Japanese, and dress shirts with tiny animal patterns that I found at a thrift store. I'm a simp for skirts and dresses with pockets, and I wear boots nearly every day.

^ The GIF in your signature is pretty cool. What is it?
> I sign my first lease on Monday and I'm nervous about living on my own for the first time. I know that I won't take good care of myself since I won't also be caring for my roommate. I'll be coming home too tired from work to cook dinner.
v Is there anyone you haven't talked to in a while but should? If so, tell me whom, then talk to them after you've finished your forum post.

^ Wishing you the best for your new place, even if it’s daunting at first living by yourself is good experience.. I’m sure you’ll be able to find a good routine after some time of living in the situation

Two cans of Redbull. I probably shouldn't drink so much caffeine but I love the taste.. I would greatly enjoy a non caffeine Redbull. Though it's a nice perk-up before work.
^ Soup is always a lovely thing. I would recommend not burning the soup (and your house) but you are free to do as you wish, my friend.
      > I decided to play Va-11 Hall-A again, because I enjoy playing a game about bartending right before going to my job as a bartender. But genuinely, it's quite relaxing - I've been rather tired but I wanted to play *something*, and this one really hits the mark being more of a visual novel.
v What's your favourite genre of video game, and why? Feel free to talk about specific games you like in that genre too.

I like RPG/exploration games. I like looting and the sense of discovery I feel when I come across something interesting. I also love simulation games like The Sims. I like coming up with backstories for sims. I can spend hours thinking of lore and personalities for them. I once had a whole series going, and I wanted to tell everyone about this family drama event I had going on with my sims. I miss that game.

^ When did you start an art shop? Has this always been a thing? It looks like it has been. I need C$.
    > Is it is just me, or does the desire to act impulsively increase at night?
v Show me an image, or a video if you want, that could sum up your sense of humor.

this is the first one i found in my files that i was like oh yea. this made me lose it

^ OK SO BASICALLY when you grow tired it lowers the efficiency of your cognitive functions, including parts of your brain that deal with emotional regulation and impulsivity. this causes people to be more susceptible to making impulsive decisions when they are tired. its not frequently seen in extremes, but it IS a commonly recognized phenomena.

I'm a medical student, so here's a few that I think are very interesting:
- The pituitary gland, which regulates many of our bodily functions through hormones, is the size of a pea or a kidney bean.
- In the same area, the hypothalamus is a major part of the nervous system, and is also the size of a pea.
- Melanin also determines the color of our hair, freckles, and age spots.

There's a BUNCH more, but those are the three that I found intriguing.

^ Thank you for your wisdom, dear chickensmoothie user coffin.

Hmmm... Let's see. I'm an electrical engineer so here is a short version of how a gas turbine works c:
      (if anyone is interested)

The turbine compresses the air, alongside fuel, which ignites, turning the mixture into gas. This gas causes the
blades to spin super fast, which turns the drive shaft. This movement powers the generator. (This is where it
gets a little nerdy) Inside the generator, there is a rod connected to the drive shaft as well as a large magnet.
As this magnet is spinning, it causes the electrons to move through the surrounding copper coils (electricity).
This creates a magnetic field and powers the generator. Sparky sparky, boom boom. c:

Wow! Medical student! I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like. I have heard it is grueling.
Sometimes I wonder if it is anything like Greys Anatomy haha.

I am finishing my contract to the Navy soon and I have mixed feelings.

How is your day? Anything exciting you are looking forward to?

Well, it's 01:45 so I suppose it's a new day. I'm looking forward to making tomato soup today :-)
^ Navy sounds interesting. I know nothing about it apart from the UK ads.
      > I sent my mother some pictures of stuff I found on Etsy, like a necklace I was thinking of buying. This is not particularly strange, however she is now going to know that I was sat here at nearly 2 in the morning scrolling for bird related things on Etsy.
v What was the last non-essential thing you bought for yourself?

Staying up late playing PFQ, even though I’m on a ship right now. ‘S fun.
...though I’m looking forward to traveling straight to Japan after I leave.

^ Study hard! Good luck!!! No, I’m not kidding.
> Been a long time since I’ve been on here...
v So, uh. Favorite mythological creature?
moving without vision

hello! I’m a fan of virtual creature collecting games like pixpets, pokefarm, pokeheroes, gpxplus, magistream, final outpost, chickensmoothie, and dragon cave! I mainly hyperfixate on video games, mainly fire emblem and megaten, though I also like things such as my little pony!
pleased to meet you all!

these lovely buttons are by Aaron✦! I made the fire emblem button myself.
