v if you could choose one language to instantly learn to read, speak, understand, and write fluently what language would you choose

i feel like there's a lot to cherish in the learning process of a language, so i wouldn't pick something i would enjoy studying... i think i would choose mandarin because it opens a lot of opportunities but isn't something i want to commit to! i feel like my dad's side of the family (who are chinese indonesians) would be very proud of me if i was suddenly fluent in mandarin lol. alternatively i would pick german because i do want to study it but people have told me it's a hassle lmao
