I don't totally agree love songs suck (cough cough pictures of you by the cure) but yeah I agree, and I agree that every single song being a love song (i think thats what you meant??) also sucks. I love 70s-2000s music too, but I feel like everything went downhill after 2016-ish and now we're at the point where we call Olivia Rodrigo a "goth princess" and MGK "pop punk" and i'm tired of it :| everything sounds so bland, slow and exactly the same, and if it isn't that then it's co-opted and lifted from a smaller creator's work (who sounds way cooler and interesting, imo).
Why is this unpopular? I agree
Rap music is literally not all that bad, a lot of people just hear a bad rap song thats popular and think thats all rap is without actually trying to learn and understand it as a legitimate and artistically inclined genre of music just because it doesn't fit their standards of what art is. Don't get me wrong, there is still rap that sucks, a lot of it actually, but there's just as much pop, rock, metal, country, and classical that sucks, but rap isn't the only or even worst offender of "bad music". You don't even have to like rap even after listening to a couple of different songs, but you should at least still respect it as a legitimate genre of music that has bad artists and good artists.
v YEAH THATS WHAT I MEAN! Some artists are obvi better than others, but I mostly meant people who don't like rap writing it off as an entire genre with no talent or meaning. thank you though :>
