popular non-canon enemies-to-lovers tropes would be horribly toxic if they were written as they were in canon but the fandom versions of characters are okay.

Chicken Run is scary! Rewatching it after I grew up adding a bunch of adult themes and I was like "How did I watch this as a kid and not get nightmares??"

CS has changed and people are more interested in making money off of their pets than actually trading pet for pet. When I first started there wasn't a whole lot of issues with value and desire being added on. It was all about dates.

yeah i agree. it seems like everybody is interested in maximizing the value they can get off their random very rares and are using a weird mix of 'rarity' and 'demand' (whatever's more beneficial to their side) to get as much as they can off these new "list" pets. this makes me paranoid to trade for anything - like what if i'm a scammer bc i didn't know some 2009 vr is now going for 2mas and not the 3 month rule.

Kinda agree? Everything is a product of its time that may degrade or find new life as time goes on so I don't think this is anything specific to Disney. Some movies I love even more now, some my love has waned on. Though I do like their modern outputs less, it might half be just my nostalgia for and love of 2D animation. I miss it.

On that note: Making animated films look more 'realistic' does NOT make them better.
