Somewhat agree and disagree? I feel like they are good pets if you know what you're doing & have the time & money to take care of them, but also they aren't very good pets for a lot of people.


On the topic of pets, it doesn't make sense when people say "adopt don't shop". There are many reliable breeders out there. Of course you should always consider adopting first before considering buying from a breeder, but if you buy from a breeder you aren't a bad person.

AGREE AGREE AGREE!!!!! Shelter animals really aren't for everyone and there should be no shame in getting a well-bred pure bred dog from a reputable and responsible breeder! <3 (I say not for everyone because quite a lot of them round me at least have issues due to their pasts, so that really doesn't spell out good for first time dog owners and the like)

absolutely agree^^ Also I find adopt dont shop people pressure people into adopting which isn't always the best fit as many older shelter pets require special training and care and don't work for many peoples lives so by harassing people into adopting they often actually have to return the pet which is very stressful for the pet and owner and also makes it harder for the pet to readopted by someone who would actually be a good fit as some shelters note the pet was returned and people often don't want to adopt pets that have been returned
