a very cheerful looking totodile walks up to you, leaving a few puddles of water on the ground. it's... hmm. strangely coloured?

shinkai picked up the small lizard-esque pokémon, with the most joyful expression he'd made in his entire life. he'd been waiting for this moment for years now. his dream is just one step ahead "hey there little guy! I guess we're going to be partners from now on, huh?"

how come his pokémon was a different color than the others?
he'd examine the other totodiles color palettes, noticing the very peculiar differences in their colors. the pokémon kind of resembled him, actually ..

"i've never seen anything like this..?" he'd mumble to himself, scratching his cheek with his index finger.
"ah, oh well. ill do more research about this later.. but for now, i'll call you .. jeha!" he'd exclaim. the name was inspired by one of his favorite characters, which although the character was bratty, he was extremely interesting and shinkai loved to do multiple paragraphs of analysis on him.

As you walked you noticed Chimchar stopping as their ears twitched. You couldn’t figure out why but soon you hear a quiet cry. Your Chimchar must’ve heard it first. Going towards the source of the crying you spot a Cleffa with oddly colored horns. It had fallen over but it’s short arms were to far from the ground to help it get back up and it’s round body was not helping

"Woah, what cute little horns!" She pokes one and gets back on her feet with a giggle. Chimchar climbs up on Fade's shoulders, staring down at the cleffa with a curious expression.
"Should I battle it..? Or, err... Do I throw a Pokeball at it?" The confused trainer mutters.
She takes a Pokeball from her bag and lightly bops the cleffa on the head.
"Get in the ball, please and thank you!" She chirps.

Cleffa was happy you plopped it up letting out a cry of joy. As you touched it’s horns it stepped back but the pokeball was quick to stop it from going any further. The pokeball shook and then clicked indicating you caught the shiny Cleffa!
