I see your point, but schools are not supposed to teach you everything you need in life. That's your parents' task. Schools are supposed to expand your general knowledge about a lot of different topics.

The whole "if you can't pay for a pet don't have it" thing needs to be toned down. (Imagine how many shelter dogs could be adopted if we instead set up places like food distribution sites but with animal supplies for low-income families? People with not much money want animal companionship as well, and I would argue that loving the animal is the most important part.)

Sorta agree, sorta disagree. If a dog can’t be taken care of properly, it’s sometimes best to use that rule, as you don’t want the dog to be neglected or underfed. However, I do agree that many people would really love an animal companion anyway, and your idea of a food distribution site is actually pretty neat! <3
