Devise watched from a distance, a content expression across her muzzle until a sound to her side caught her by surprise.
"Norman?"
The doberman shot a gaze over to the ivinaki before he diverted his attention over to the hunting groups, his face devoid of expression as he looked back down to his paws.
"Sorry, for just now."
The fea almost recoiled in shock.
A sorry?
For some reason, she expected anything else but a 'sorry' from the brute, like maybe with a twist, a prank, perhaps.
But one look at Norman and she knew he was being serious, his gaze never leaving his paws.
"Fights always breaks out amongst us, it's normal." Devise lied.
"Really?"
She nodded curtly.
"You're such a terrible liar, perhaps a lesson from me or two would actually do you some help."
"You dare doubt me?"
Norman casted a mocking look across his face, sneering at the fea - and for some reason, it lightened her up a little bit, even attempting to hide a smirk she could feel forming.
"Never in a million years, ivinaki."
"You're a pretty terrible liar yourself."
Without a warning, the ivinaki pounced atop the jiradi, ignoring all the lessons from Nefiri had given her about being gentle and elegant and to try not to stand out.
Norman let a fleeting look of shock take over his face, but quickly recomposed himself and smirked.
"That's it, dewani. How about a hunt after dusk, just you and me."
"But you're not supposed to-"
"Scared?"
And again with a slight push, Norman threw the smaller dog off with ease.
"Never. It's on."
