Pack of Olympic Forest
Number of Dogs: 7 adults, 5 pups; 6 female, 6 male

Raleigh shivered in the cold storm as she padded towards the circle of logs that marked where heaven toughed earth.
Stepping inside, she immediately felt the presence of her ancestors.

"As you may know, my son has returned!" She announced. "And I would love to make him my Beta and heir. However, we both know he is still young and ignorant of many things. Therefore, I ask your help. If he is destined to be my Beta, send me no dog.
If he is not, send me a suitable Beta, one who is strong, and stubborn, and loyal."

Pebble lay in his nest, keeping an eye on his pups while Bramble caught a whiff of fresh air. They were walking now, and always tussling and making noise. Rowdy walked in with a shake and looked at Pebble's bandaged lag.

"Doing better?" He asked. Pebble nodded. "You should be back on your paws in a month," Rowdy told him. "In the meantime,
have fun pupsitting!" he called as he walked out.

Pebble barely restrained himself from attacking the medic.

Pie was hot on the intruder's trail, as was Starkie. They both hoped to run him off and earn Raleigh's favor.

Now lee and Lilly will be having Pups soon, Rin is happy with him self to have another like. As he got back with the new member called Kemmy. They became good friends helping each other for the day showing her around the territory. The clan was getting hungry but they only had a small pile. So, Rin and Lee went out hunting for the day to help them self.

Kemmy looked around a little and walked out to find some herbs for Lilly. She didn't go out for long but she came back safe.

Belle whimpered, as her 3 remaining pups yipped, curled up to her belly, she nuzzled the limp body of the stillborn, Iris watched her, a sad expression on her face, "I'll leave you 2 some privacy.." she barked, and left the den to hang out with Solo, Florida, and Rookie. Logan sat next to his mate, trying to avoid his gaze from the limp body of the pup, "They did it to her.. they made her stillborn.." Belle sobbed, pulling the limp body closer, "You mean.. your family?." Logan asked, immediately regretting what he had said, Belle slowly nodded "Her name is Jade, she will walk upon the stars and watch from above" Belle whimpered, she looked back to the remaining 3, "2 boys and one girl.." Belle barked, a bit of sadness still in her voice, "Sparrow, Bracken, and Lassie" she woofed, Belle slightly nudged each pup slowly to Logan, He looked down at each pup proudly, he noticed Lassie looked just like him, he laid down and looked at each pup while they squirmed around, Bracken ended up onto Sparrow's back, and Logan had to carefully pull him off "Look at these strong small Ironteeth" he grinned, Lassie put a paw onto Logan's muzzle, letting out a small yip, Sparrow was curled up by his mother's belly, while Bracken had crawled on top of his mother's tail, letting out a howl of victory before sliding off, Belle chuckled and leaned over to pick up Bracken with her teeth and dropping him carefully with Sparrow, Lassie yawned before placing her head onto Logan's paw and falling asleep
One Moon Later..
Logan gathered up the kennel, Belle couldn't go out in the storm, risking the health of her pups, "We must send out a hunting patrol" Logan barked to Rookie and Florida, "Pfft.. you expect me to go out in that weather? you must be mouse-brained, I should be beta.. its clear I have wiser choices for this kennel" growled Rookie, Florida gave a surprised look to Rookie, mumbling something under his breathe, "Hah, you dare challenge me to a beta fight?" Logan woofed, "Bring it on.. but I'm afraid Belle will have her mate turned to an omega after this battle" snarled Rookie, Florida backed off, heading to Solo, Iris watched with surprise, Rookie and Logan began circling, right when Rookie was about to jump out, Logan tackled him to the ground, loudly barking in his face, Rookie squirmed around like a newborn pup, till he finally managed to shake Logan off and rose up, knocking Logan to his side, till Logan attempted to strike at his face, making Rookie back off a bit, Logan rose up and tackled him down, putting down all of his pressure onto Rookie to make sure he didn't try to get up, Rookie barked his surrender and Logan walked off from the battle, Rookie eyed Logan before going back over to Florida, Iris padded up to Logan, "Would it be okay if I checked up on Rookie?" she asked "if that stubborn mouse-brain lets you, than sure" Logan woofed, Logan went back to check on his mate and pups, he poked his head into the nursery, he chuckled as he watched the pups climb onto Belle's back, Sparrow began sliding off a bit, knocking off Lassie as well, Bracken weakly stayed at the pup, the small pup just had learned how to walk before Sparrow or Lassie could

"Are you the Ironteeth my ancestors has sent me?" Bullet questioned, staring at the new dog. They had impossibly dark, black curly fur. They admittedly looked pretty fragile, but looked intelligent and loyal. "Indeed, I am." The Ironteeth replied, nodding their head slightly. "What do you call you?" Bullet asked, slowly circling around the curly furred dog. "They call me Boom." They said, trying to hide their embarrassment. "Boom." Bullet echoed, as he stopped pacing around the new dog. "Why is that?" Bullet asked, narrowing his eyes. Boom shrugged. "I'm not really sure." He replied, shaking his head. "I'm not much of a dog that'd fit the name 'Boom', but I guess a name is a name." Boom mumbled, staring at the ground. "Well, Welcome to Falling Leaves, Boom. I can show you around." Bullet offered, already turning around a bit. "Y..yeah that'd be nice." Boom barked. "Alright. Follow me."

Bullet gave him a tour of the camp. It wasn't so time consuming, but not speedy quick. Just enough that Boom could get the hang of how the camp was laid out. "Thank you, Alpha." Boom bowed in appreciation. "You're welcome," Bullet replied back. "For now, I'll send you on a border and hunting patrol. I'll come with you on the hunting patrol. But on the border patrol, I'll be staying back." Bullet barked. Boom nodded, getting excited. It was his first border and hunting patrol, after all. "Good. You can choose what we go on first." Bullet nodded, and then stayed quiet to let Boom choose. "How about the hunting patrol first? Then border patrol." Boom answered. "That's fine. Let's go."

Next visit with the ancestors: tuesday, july twenty-fifth

The rain had slowed! The Broken Sentinels, even those with coughs, couldn't help but wag there tails that morning. No more being cooped up in a den! The whole of the kennel woke with eager eyes and excited faces - all but Torra and Liezel. Kai had quickly ordered that the two stay in camp a while longer and no one was in the mood to argue with Kai. Ardala, swollen belly and all, was so antsy that Lochlain finally agreed to go on a stroll with her. Of course, he'd called it a patrol but with the ground being as slick as it was he wasn't going to let her go any faster then a brisk walk. The rest of the kennel agreed to go hunting.

Liezel picked up a rabbit and with a heavy sigh sauntered toward where Torra was resting. The giant leonberger dropped the rabbit at the other fae's paws, "Want to share that with me?" Torra wagged her tail lightly and nodded, "Thanks, Liezel, I'd love to." The two fae's stayed in camp, chatting lightly about the weather when Liezel cocked her head toward Torra, "What do you think of Bear?" Torra giggled lightly in response, "Well, he's not a bad guy. Nor is he a bad alpha. He definitely has the intimidation tactic down, though." Liezel mulled on that for a brief moment, "But he's not bad..?" Torra stopped chewing on the last of the rabbit leg and shook her head, "He'd make a great mate, Liezel. And a wonderful father to some future pups." Liezel nearly choked on the bone in the maw, "Wha? I never said anything like that!" Torra giggled again, flicking her long-haired tail toward Liezel, "You didn't have to say anything - everyone can see how he looks at you. In fact, I'm surprised he didn't make sure you were okay this morning before taking the hunting patrol out."

Liezel wasn't aware of how hard Bear thought about her on that trip though. He was determined to please her and show her that he could make a wonderful mate. Bear knew that whatever he caught on his trip would go to Liezel and he'd ask her.. he'd ask her to be his mate. Today just wasn't that day though.

Weather Report: Fall has arrived and thankfully for the kennels the storm was just a false warning. The clouds got close to the territories but quickly vanished in a different direction. The air is crisp and chilly but not cold yet. The ground is soggy from the rains the clouds did manage to bring but the sun is out now and so is the prey. Dogs are more likely to find prey then they are loners looking for a place to stay. Once the snows come more dogs will be out looking for a home. Tenderpaws should be safe in this weather now - just watch out for predators!

As Benjamin then came talking abou some random thing,Duci shooshed him and saw something in the distance-a giant,light brown dog with black markings on the muzzle.They came close with a sneak and as the dog stopped,he smirked ''I see you,I'm not dumb.'' he turned and saw them,dipping his head with respect to the young souls.

As they came back,Kai stopped with amusement ''pretty good camp,I could help you fix the dens.'' he told his alpha,head bowing down.Soon enough,Loki went out of camp with a huff.

Duci ran to him,tail wagging as they talked and laughed,before going on a patrol for dogs and food.

loki and duci caught a rabbit and a vole! (update your prey section so I know what to give you!)
they also ran into a pup-mother! she's due in two posts.
kai and benjamin manged to fix the shelters up! they should be good enough for winter.

naos sat quietly his eyes on the ground as the other two dogs threatened one another back and forth. the two dogs had obvious tension built up, whatever it was at least was steadily growing between the two dogs. it wasn't until arcturus finally stood down did naos begin to relax. rigel smiled at arcturus and whispered to him in a motherly tone, the brute nodded and stalked off presumably going to speak with the ancestors like rigel had told him to earlier. rigel only turned to naos after arcturus had left, a soft expression replacing the malicious one she'd given to arcturus. "what was that?" naos asked curiously. rigel shook her head softly as she snickered. "arcturus thinks that because he was granted a few extra lives and named alpha he can do whatever he wants, i won't let that happen." rigel smirked as she led the irontooth out of camp. naos smirked ever so softly at the fae's bravery. "and that name thing? what's a ceaser and a voto?" naos continued pressing the fae's knowledge ever so slightly. "ceaser is awarded to an alpha, voto is the name given to a beta. as for you, irontooth, you're a lottatore. and when your mate becomes a pup-mother she'll be a vita lottatore. there're name's for the omega's, elder's, tenderpaw's. it shows your rank and level of respect." rigel droned on as she laid out the system to the new irontooth. his eyes seemed to light up with understanding as she continued, he nodded thoughtfully as he thought it all over.

"one last question," naos said getting a small laugh from rigel as he said the words. "what's going on between you and arcturus?" rigel cocked her head slightly her expression telling naos that she didn't understand the question. naos continued softly, "are you two mates?" at this rigel stopped in her tracks, laughter rising in her throat as she digested the words. unknowing to her that the other dog in question was silently watching nearby listening in on the conversation, "no, no. i don't think that will ever happen unless he grows up." rigel smiled softly, arcturus had an opposite reaction angered by her words and stalking off to the star cave to do as rigel had originally told him to.

Alvena grumbled to herself, he new proclaimed mate is an ego driven brute who think females need protecting. Well he got an ear full from her when he said that to her and explained her role of just hunting and raising the many pups they will be having. She couldn't help but bark a laugh at that and that made Viloa and Kate turn their heads, questions in their eyes. "So how long has this been going on? How long has the females been doing all the hard work and they just get the credit?" the newcomer asked. She has been here for a little under a moon now and already didn't like it.

"It has always been like this, since I joined anyways." Viloa spoke up "It seems to work, I mean we don't ever come into any kind of danger..." she barked.

"Well maybe Troy will change things up around here? Now that he has me around, wonder what he would do if I had a say in this?" Alvena pondered out loud.

Troy was awfully quiet while on patrol with Kalven, he couldn't understand why the ancestors would send him such a stubborn female. This was not what he asked for and she even laughed when he brought up pups. "Just give her what she wants, maybe that will work?" Kalven offered some advice, though he had no experience with this kind of stuff.

Troy growled at the idea "That is the most dumbest thing I have heard. I just have to show her my strength, that will win her over." he sounded so sure of himself. "Once she sees how tough I am she will swoon over me and obey me then. You will see."

Kalven only rolled his eyes, to him that was the dumbest idea "And how do you plan on showing your strength? By being by her side every day and hope for some kind of danger?" he barked sarcastically.

"I don't have time to watch her all the time like some pup. Plus I am a male and she is a female that does female things throughout the day." Troy said and took a light pause before continuing "I will fight her, that would show her." the idea did just come to him and though it sounded ridiculous to Kalven, Troy thought it was a marvelous plan.

"You can't do that! She is your mate, you are suppose to woo her. Not fight her." Kalven barked at the alpha.

Troy just snorted "I already have good looks, I just need to show her that I am stronger and the dominate one." he barked smugly. Kalven let it go then, it seems like he found something in common for the both of them, stubbornness.

Butch finished up the bird after he made sure Shiver had enough. He hasn't let the fae out of his sight for the last few days, even walking her out to make dirt so no harm would come her way. He had dug out the nursery and made it larger every day, deeper too. The pups will have to be able to hop before they can leave the safety of the den, an idea that came to him in a dream. "Can I get you anything? Are you comfortable? What about the moss? Is it to damp? To dry? I can go get more." Butch asked Shiver, he would get her anything she wanted. Shiver just sighed and that made Butch look her over "Is it the pups? are they coming? I will go get Markus!"

The Dane got up but stopped when Shiver chuckled "Calm down Butch, I am fine. Everything is perfect and the pups will come when they are ready." The female had to admit she loved the attention but it was starting to become to much for her. Shiver moved onto her side ever so slightly, but that was all it took for the sharp pain to shoot through her causing her to wince. "Okay, maybe now you can go get Markus.." she whispered, but Butch was already heading off to the shaman's den.

shiver gave birth to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 pups! unfortunately two are still-born and one seems to be ill but should survive if kept extra warm.
chance seems to be getting better but should wait one moon before leaving camp.

Bella blinked awake hearing a sound nearby. Getting to her paws, she carefully moved froward, scenting the new dog in her territory. "Who are you and what are you doing?" she asked.

"The stars sent me here," the male replied to her, quickly turning and dipping his head in respect.

Bella smiled in relief. "Welcome to Heavenly Freedom Kennel then," she barked, tail wagging. "What is your name?" she asked

"Aladdin," he replied.

"Your are now beta of the kennel," Bella told him. "Lets hunt and get some food," she barked, heading out with him to hunt.

Ragnarok awoke with a start, almost forgetting where he was. A snarl was forming on his lips and a low growl could be heard. He looked around quickly before getting up and stretching, today was going to be a long day. Weather was terrible, and he only wished that he would not get sick with everything that he had to do.

He quickly went out into the driving rain, trotting at a brisk pace to where he would speak with The Ancestors. He arrived and bowed down.

"Mighty Ancestors, hear my cry, I kindly ask that you grant me a smart and reliable Shaman to help me lead my Kennel. With weather like this setting in so quickly, I need to be prepared for the worst." He howled, before bowing again and taking his leave.

As he was traveling back to camp, he decided to try a little hunting to see if he could catch something.

The wind picked up further, fur whipping in Nessie's face as it became stronger. Rain splattered onto the two dogs pelts, cold slowly seeping into the two dogs as it continued to pour down in torrents. Apollo turned his head to look at Nessie, who was squinting slightly in the rain and holding the mouse in her jaws firmly. "I suggest we head back now, Nessie." He said to her quickly with his , though his voice held the authority of an alpha, giving Nessie no leash to argue incase she thought otherwise.
"I agree, let's go." His beta replied, voice muffled by the mouse in her jaws. The two then moved backed to camp at a brisk walk, occasionally murmuring things about the rain and how the camp would be holding up.

"Who are you, you have no right passing on Kennel grounds!" Ace called out to the muscular dog in front of him, who seemed to be shaking from the cold. The dog didn't have a very furry coat, just one thin layer of shiny blue-gray fur. Ace's teeth clenched together as the dog still continued forwards, his eyes locked onto Ace. "Answer, or I'll have to attack!" Ace barked, raising himself so he looked more intimidating.
The dog stopped and blinked for a moment, then opened his maw. "I'm Lucian. You apart of a kennel, you say? May I join?" The brute tried not to show the urgency in his voice. He had been wandering for days alone, his owner has thrown him out and just left him, not seeming to care if he lived or died.
Ace looked over the brute, then slowly nodded his head. "I'm not the one who makes the decisions around here, you're gonna have to ask my alpha, Apollo." Ace said to him, quickly guiding him to the camp as the rain beat down on the two' backs.

As the pair returned to camp, Apollo looked at the two, quickly raising himself to his paws to see the newcomer. Ace dipped his head respectively, and the newcomer followed suit quickly. "State your name." Apollo informed the male, who replied quickly.
Lucian. I was picked up on Ace's patrol because I want to join." He said to him, then moving onto his haunches to sit.
Apollo scanned the male, who seemed to be both fit and healthy. "You seem to be a strong and capable dog, though I'm going to have to make you show it by going on a patrol with my beta. He turned his head to look at Nessie, beckoning her over. "She'll see if you are fit, also, Ace, you go too." He spoke, quickly dismissing the dogs with a flick of the tail. Apollo moved his way out of camp, deciding to go on a patrol whilst they went hunting.

The storm letting up was a welcome sign to Ares. He padded out into the sodden camp, his paws sliding down into the mud of what was once his camp. Enyo followed close behind. He could hear her grumbling behind him but he was barely listening. He stopped in front of the Irontooth den and let out a few loud barks to let them know it was safe. One by one, his Night Callers came out of the den looking tired and hungry. He could smell that the last piece of prey they had, a scrawny mouse, was gone. "Night Callers!" Ares addressed his weary pack. "This storm has been tough on us, but we will not falter because of it. If anything, we will come back stronger." There were howls of agreement from the assembled dogs.

"I can take Anteros, Deimos, and Nike out to hunt." Bello said, stepping towards his Alpha. His big brown eyes seemed eager to prove himself as Beta. Ares nodded his head. "Be cautious, Bello." He warned. Bello nodded and gave his alpha's shoulder a lick before leading his party out of camp.

Diana slipped out of her den and shook out her pelt. "There's a leak." She explained, her tone betraying that she was not at all pleased. She stalked by Ares, almost trampling Athena in her wake. "I'm going out for herbs!" She called, not looking back.

Ares looked after the shaman with an amused smile before looking back at Enyo. The black lab watched him eagerly, her tail wagging back and forth because she knew that this was her chance to see her new territory. Athena sat at his paws and huffed. "So are we going to train or are you two content on just flirting through eye contact?" She grumbled, her electric blue eyes glaring at both of the older dogs. Ares cocked his head down at the normally quiet tenderpaw. He cleared his throat. "Of course, Athena." He barked to her. "We just need to patrol first." Enyo laughed and padded in front of Ares, running her tail under his chin. Athena looked up at her shocked and obviously love-stricken leader and shook her head with a sigh, racing to catch up with the other female. Ares blinked and then took off after them.

Weather Report: There is no more rain as the beginning of fall comes. The leaves are starting to turn colors and there is a slight breeze but it is a nice warm day. Both prey and predators will be out and about so be careful!

OOC: I am starting to notice that people are forgetting to feed their kennel. I just want this out here but if you have any questions about how prey works please. I will PM you ONCE only, after that I will tell you here and dogs will fall ill/die. I understand if you forget occasional but if it becomes constant then I gotta play fair as a mod.

After herb hunting Parker and Daisy return to camp. As Parker sorts his herbs, Daisy rests off to the side. Daisy's pups begin to kick before the feeling of restlessness sets in. Daisy looks at Parker, letting out a small bark. The shaman stops with his herb sorting to look over at Daisy. "I think the pups are coming!" she says, pacing a bit. Parker quickly goes to Daisy's side to help prepare for the coming pups.

Charlie hides the hunting patrol's catch before setting out to hunt some more. "We must stock up. Daisy's pups are due any day now." she barked. This caused Bandit and Azalea to let out a yip in agreement before following Charlie's lead.

Upon smelling the group of badgers, Kodiak marks the area before mumbling something to himself. "I'll come back and check on them in a few days... if their not gone or have moved closer I will take action." The alpha continued on his search.

Daisy goes in to labor. Parker is there to help.

"What? You want to fight me? What for?" Alvena growled at Troy who had just told her to get ready.

"To show you my strength, that I am the alpha." Troy barked almost happily as he looked around at the stunned faces of his pack.

Alvena narrowed her eyes at the brute "I thought Fae's are not good at fighting. You said we would never have to." she was still growling.

"Yeah but I asked the ancestors to send a mate that can hold her own if she had to. So I am sure you know how to fight." Troy taunted "Now enough chatting like a group of faes and fight me already." he insisted.

That done it, Alvena was now ready for this fight, she had enough of this arrogant mate of hers and she lunged at him. Just as she was about to grab for one of his paws she felt his teeth sink into her shoulder and she let out a loud yelp. She turned and bit at his face but it didn't even seem to bother him as he pulled away and took a snap at her neck. The two continued to fight like this in front of the group of dogs for what seemed like hours until Troy had the now bloody female pinned to the ground, whimpering.

The alpha bent down and whispered "Told you I am strong." into his mate's ear. When she flinched away a look of confusion crossed him and he let her up then. He turned away from her and looked at Markus "Help her." he barked the command "The rest of you, I want you out on patrols, training, what ever it is just get it done." No one ignored his command either, especially after what he had just done.

Troy turned back to Alvena to help her up but she just growled at him and that made him stop, he had no idea he had done something wrong. "Get away from me." the fae whispered to him as she got up on her own and limped away with Markus who looked over her wounds once they were in his den. Troy grumbled to himself and trotted after Kalven to join him on the patrol.

"Three healthy, one sickly and two stillborn. What did I do wrong?" Shiver whimpered to herself. Butch had just left her alone with the four pups as he went to bury the stillborn females. Only one fae left, the runt, the sickly puppy. Markus told her to keep her warm and let him know right away if there was any sign that something went wrong. The new pup-mother shook her head and pushed the bad thoughts away "You all will make it, just you wait."

"They will be fine Shiver..." Butch murmured as he entered the den. The large male nudged his pups closer to her and she curled around them to keep them all warm. "Troy won't let me stay all the time but today I will keep you company and help keep the den warm at least. Now get some rest and don't worry about anything." he ordered her. Shiver was to tired to rebel against him, not to mention she was scared of him sometimes already, so she just did as he said and slowly fell asleep.
