Weather Report: It is summer and the rays of the sun bringing warmth to all. Prey is running about, trying to stock up for the coming winter. Water is starting to evaporate through the territories, causing a drought in some areas and humans are starting to camp in the areas with their dogs.

"Great to meet you!" Aurora barked, panting happily at the new member of her kennel. "You're my beta, right?" Leif actually looked a little surprised, but he grinned wide.
"I wasn't told I'd be a beta, but honestly, I'd be honored!" He twirled around excitedly, fluffy tail trailing behind him. Aurora chuckled.
"Well, how would you like it if I showed you our camp?"
"I'd love it!"

"You are trespassing!" Aurora barked at the intruder who was minding their own business. They turned and looked at her "I'm sorry, I wasn't aware. Do you mind if I just sit here a while longer though? I am just so tired from swimming against the currents." It was then that Aurora saw the dog was dripping water from their pelt.

Aurora found a loner.

Shadow slowly walked over to Thunder, he had only been around for a while Shadow and him became good friends.
"Hey Thunder!" She said her tail wagging happily behind her.
"Oh, hey Shadow."
Shadow sat down on her haunches, "Today is a lovely day isn't it?"
Thunder let out a small chuckle, "How would I know? I can't see the sky."
Shadow looked up, trying to see the sky, it was still a bit foggy due to the morning mist, she sighed the sky was much clearer at night.
"I guess your right."
"Shadow, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to, I mean you don't have to, but do you want to go-"
"Shadow!" Shouted Blade. Shadow shot a appologetic look at Thunder, and walked over to Blade,
"Yes Blade?"
"I want you to go on a patrol, while I go hunting."
Shadow nodded her head and looked back at Thunder, he looked sad for some reason. She turned back to Blade who was almost out of camp.
"Blade!" she yelled as she tried to catch up with him. Blade turned around.
"What."
"Can I take Thunder with me?"
Blade looked back at Thunder, Shadow could tell he didn't like him. But then again, Blade didn't like anyone."Fine." he huffed before he exited camp.
Shadow's eyes gleamed with excitement, and she ran back to Thunder. "Come on we're going on a patrol!"

"A beta." Banjo rolled the word around on his tongue, testing its taste. He had never had a pack before, let alone been a beta of one. "I still I can't believe it," the dog chuckled, throwing Dakota a lop-sided grin as he rolled on to his back, stretching his lanky limbs. Dirt and leaves clung to his short fur, Dakota observed with a slight curl of her lip, but she smiled nonetheless at Banjo's excitement.
"Well, we're barely a pack yet. So you're only a beta by name," Dakota teased in her gentle voice, using her tail to brush some of the grime from Banjo's pelt. The only-a-beta-by-name nipped at her in protest. Rather dismally, Banjo glanced around the empty camp. He knew Dakota had grand ideas for the place, with an eventual nursery in those sheltered ruins and a shaman to care for the pack in that ruin, where he (or she) could store his medicines between the bricks. But alas, it was just the two of them. For now.
"Enough lazing about. I'm going to go patrol the border." Dakota's voice snapped Banjo's thoughts back to reality - her voice, and the shower of forest waste that she sent tumbling on to him when she shook her thick pelt. Dakota stared down at her beta expectantly, head slightly tilted as Banjo stared back at her in confusion.
Then it clicked. "Oh! Good thinking, I was just about to go hunting," Banjo grinned, rising to his paws. Dakota snorted in disbelief.

Weather Report: Summer is in full swing! Prey is out and about trying to both prepare for winter and find themselves mates who haven't been taken during the spring. The heat is getting more intense and most prey will be found near a water source.

Aland thanks his ancestors for the gift of his new irontooth, Baylin, an idea comes to mind, what better way to show the new recruit around then to take him on a patrol, his ears pricked, eyes bright and bushy tailed and tortes of to offer the proposition, perhaps they'll find a new member.

Trenton paced nervously in the center of the camp, waiting for the other dogs to return from their daily patrols and training. The lanky black male perked up when Aspen trotted into camp, Florence following close behind. Soon after, the rest of the group filed in behind them.

The alpha male hurried across the clearing to Florence. "I need to talk with you." Trenton said. Florence's ears perked up slightly, a concerned look on her face. "It's nothing bad, I promise you." Once Florence caught up, Trenton turned and continued walking, leading the she-dog further away from the camp.

"Trenton, what is it?"

Trenton sighed and stopped walking, turning to Florence. "You were my first pack member, Florence. You mean a lot to me, you coming and being the first dog to make that camp a little less empty made me happier than I've felt in forever. I want to start a family with you."

Florence's head tilted to the side. "But we are already a family."

"No, Florence... I want you to be my mate..."

"Oh..."

"I'm sorry." Trenton laughed nervously, looking at his paws. "I probably shou-"

"Yes." Florence cut him off.

"Y-Yes?"

"Yes, I will be your mate."

Troy made his way back to camp, it was so green out here. Much different then where he came from, he was kind of glad his person left him here. The golden brown brute has grown use to it out here and has been given many dreams from his ancestors, they guided him through everything. Troy found the clearing he often went to and sat down in the middle of it. He looked up at the moon and quietly murmured "I usually ask for you to share dreams with me but tonight I would like to ask for a shaman. If you wish me to lead I think it would be best if I had someone to heal them if they are injured or sick."

The massive Leonberger strode through the wood, head high, tail erect yet relaxed behind him. He was a threatening sight and he knew he was fully capable of holding his own against, easily, two or three others.. so long as they weren't the same size as he. Bear huffed when he found a good spot, "Camp." Without another thought he turned and left the camp.
Within a few moments he found himself at the river's rushing edge, deadly, sweeping waters mere inches from his huge paws. He got in, halfway to his joints, holding strong against he current and looked at the sky - full of stars. A long, strong howl came from the brute - the stars would understand what it was he was asking for. When he was done howling the Leonberger turned back around and headed straight for camp.

The Pack of Olympic Forest

The Pack of Olympic Forest lives in a remote part of the Olympic peninsula. While a small part of their land touches the craggy seashore, the vast majority is in the upland deciduous rainforests. Moss hangs from mighty maples and carpets the ground where ferns are absent. Prey such as deer, mice, squirrels, hares, rabbits, and snakes are abundant here.

This pack is well-suited to surviving in the Olympic rainforests that they call home. While some are big, most are small. Terriers make up the majority of the pack, as they are small and tough. They need to be agile enough to weave through the insanely dense undergrowth and incessant fallen trees/limbs. Pelt color does not matter

These dogs are aloof and mysterious, preferring to remain neutral in most circumstances. However, they have been known to give aid to a pack in a jam. they readily take in wandering dogs, but if those dogs turn on them, they quickly show their warrior side.

Due to its rather remote location, this pack has a large territory. This allows it to follow its migratory prey, as sedentary food can be scarce. They only settle down to allow for birth and nursing in the spring.

territory ; the kennel is located in a forested region that has it's back to a large mountain. the kennel's
icamp can be located near the base of the mountain not far from a large cavern. the camp is a large c
ilearing with large pine trees surrounding it. there are several stones littered across the camp, none of
iwhich are large enough to house the feral dogs, there is also a fallen tree splitting the camp into two,
ithe log is often used by alpha's to gather the pack's attention before a momentous occasion. ceremoni
ies are then held outside of camp at the large nearby cavern. this is because it is said that their ancest
iors lived within the cave and that the stars shone more brightly here during both day and night, this b
ieing the source of the kennel's naming. the illegitimate stars found within their kennel territory.

traditions ; it is kennel tradition to send the tenderpaws on a great hunt before they're to become iro
inteeth, with those failing becoming omegas. the tenderpaws on this hunt must catch a buck. the tend
ierpaws must work together, using the skills their ironteeth mentors have taught them to successfully
icatch the beast. although, upon occasion buck have become scarce and the tendepaws are welcomed
iinto the kennel as ironteeth without going through the hunt. other traditions include pup-mothers sta
iying in the glow-worm cave until after the pups are born. it's said that the stars within the cave give t
ihe mothers and pups strength through the process of giving birth, this tradition is strictly held by them.

naming ; all pups are given starting names upon their birth, these names are all reflected upon the st
iars seen shining in the night sky the day of the pups birth. then as they go up in rank new names are a
idded to the original name to reflect their rank among the kennel of illegitimate stars. ei, ceaser, etc..

Weather Report: It is a slightly cloudy summer day, the heat has let up some. There is a slight breeze that brings the smell of much needed rain. Humans are not as active in the area as the storm moves closer, but there are more dogs in search of shelter from the rain.

Pack of Olympic Forest
Number of Dogs: 1 female, 0 male

Raleigh wanders her territory as a new Alpha. She hopes to accomplish several things. First, she wishes to discover what kennels border her land, and perhaps discover a friend in them. She also wants to see if she can find some prey. Lastly, she is looking to take in any dogs that seek refuge.
